As long as High School and College football keep on truckin', it won't bother me one bit. I'll miss watching the Cowboys on sundays, but I didn't watch many other games anyway.

They won't make the March 4th suspense of the current CBA, but I expect a new one will be agreed upon by the end of March.

Same here. I think it will be done by the draft for sure.

They'd better not extend the regular season to 18 games. And they better make a rookie salary cap. Freaking rookies are way way way way overpaid. Why should some guy make $100 who hasn't played a down in the NFL? its horse sh:Censor:! Playing great in college doesn't mean it will translate to the NFL.

I'm glad my boss didn't wait a year to see how I worked out before he paid me. That would have been horse sh:Censor:!

They'd still get paid just not paid the high salaries that are better than most proven veterans. They should do something like the NBA. We know what the rookies in the NBA are gonna make. They don't make more than a veteran whose been in the league for 5 years.

I'm on board with this. The fact that they have been in meetings for six days in a row now is encouraging. My belief is if there is not a deal in place by the draft it will be a long summer and, at a minimum, training camps will be in jeopardy. There is no need for it to go that far.

Reported an hour ago - Federal mediator overseeing NFL labor talks says "progress was made, but strong differences remain".

An agreement before the end of March even is looking grim, sigh.
