Me either. I can't stand the fact they will be playing in our (Cowboy) stadium for the super bowl.

As an ex-Oiler fan, they really grated on me back in the 'Luv ya' Blue' days, especially re: the Renfro catch/non-catch in 1979/1980. I give them credit for being a great organization and for playing hard-nosed football. But I don't like them.

Friend of mine at work, big Cowboy fan, said the same thing about both teams, why he wanted anyone but GB or Pitt even there.

Has all the potential for a great game, lets hope it is.
The fact that its these two teams playing here is classic. Two teams who have given Dallas fits over their history play in the Boys house for the title. I hope Jerry is proud.
Also, don't forget, Flozell gets to play for a ring here also.

Yes my extreme dislike of the Steelers goes back to those 70's days and it just grinds my gears they get to come here to Arlington. Really the same with GB but not on the same level as with Steelers, Redskins or Eagles.

Too bad Dallas couldn't hold up it's end of the bargain - most classic SB ever - Dallas vs. Pitt in Arlington.

I am a longtime Packers fan so there is no decision to make for me. Growing up, I used to hate both the Cowboys and Steelers. I used to despise Terry Bradshaw due to his bloviating but I have to give him props for backing up everything he said. :notworthy I still don't care for him though. I have no problem with the Steelers organization either. The Rooney family is a great bunch of folks. And I now pull for the Cowboys except when they play the Pack. Go Pack Go. :)

Ditto for me but every time I cheer against the Steelers in a big game the Steelers usually prevail.

Certainly no secret that both teams get little respect in the DFDub. I'm surprised the Steelers are getting to play the underdog role even though they are the higher seed.
Looks to me like a great setup for the Ironmen to collect number 7.
Personally not picking or rooting for either. I'm just hoping for an entertaining game.

I saw on NFL network that Roger Staubach is the chairman of the super bowl host committee AND as such - he is going to be the presenter of the Lombardi trophy to the winner on Sunday. He even admitted that its going to be a little uneasy due to the history of Dallas vs GB and Dallas vs Pitt; mentioning the Ice Bowl and 70s Super Bowls. "It might be a little difficult" "I'll do it" etc. :)

http://www.businessinsider.com/watch-christina-aguilera-screws-up-the-national-anthem-at-the-super-bowl-2011-2
At about 51 seconds in, as she was about to sing the fourth line ("O'er the ramparts we watched, were so gallantly streaming"), she accidentally sang a hybrid of the second line: "What so proudly we watched, at the twilight's last streaming."

Why not just put the Allen band out there to play it. There have been so many screw-ups on the National Anthem through the years. Roseanne Barr could have done better tonight.

Three forced turnovers as GB defense wins the game. We knew one of the D's would be the difference. I think Woodson has now won a HS state championsip, collegiate D1 championship, and NFL? Someone on GB was in that possible scenario and I believe it was him.

Ok, yeah, I thought the seats in question were on the mezzanine. The seats appear to have no real exit other than to their right as they sit - seating nightmare IMO - but clearly well worth $800.

I hear that. They were also bringing some of the fans who bought those seats into the Media boxes too. That's what I heard from The Blitz broadcasters on ESPN 97.5 this afternoon.

what if the Packers and Steelers don't both make it back to the super bowl next year? You think it would be the same as going to watch your favorite team play? The fans got screwed and now they are trying to pay them off. I think a civil lawsuit will probably crop up pretty quick.

I thought I heard on SportsCenter today that the fans getting a ticket and triple value will be able to choose which SB to attend in the next five years. Or perhaps that was a recommendation that I heard - I don't know for sure if this is so or not. As far as possible lawsuits, there is some fans suing JJ and the NFL for deceit and not getting the expected seats or received inadequate seating.
