Playoffs are a new season!

Hmmm...I believe that one of Chicago's losses was to Seattle.

why would green bay and seattle play at seattle if the hawks win? werent they 7-9? did green bay not win their division?

Go Seahawks. Cutler will do a Flacco and completely choke.

No sir, they didn't. Chicago won the NFC North, which means that they would have to go to Seattle.

I picked a Green Bay/Chicago NFC Championship before the postseason started. Lets see what Chicago does today.

Very good voice on the national anthem singer from the NHL Blackhawks, but I was not happy with the fans constantly cheering loudly throughout it. No respect for America.

They were cheering the words. Like "flag was still there" and "what so PROUDLY we hailed". The fans were also singing along. Loudly.

I thought it was greatness. And showed a great deal of good old fashioned PATRIOTISM.

Relax.

Glad to hear that, I couldn't undertand the crowd at all, so it only sounded like noise.

Damaged hearing fails me again.

It is a Chicago tradition at the Hawks games to sing the anthem and sing it loud. The guy who sings it for the Hawks does have a great voice. If you ever go to watch a Hawks game at the United Center it is part of the experience that most will really enjoy. It is deafening and yes it is hard to understand the actual words when listening on TV but when you are there you can definitely understand it.

The Bears played well today. I love watching them play the cover 2 to perfection. The folks in Chicago can't stand it. Most Bears fans that I know honestly think the Bears stink this year and would like to get rid of Lovie Smith. I think that they are nuts and just ignorant of how a bend don't break cover 2 defense is supposed to run. Tillman looked like a pro-bowler out there today. Seattle kept going at him and he kept shutting them down. The Bears offense even looked good today.

So it wasn't my damaged hearing. I retract my statement of "no respect for America" which I knew was controversial to write. That was an inaccurate opinion. Yet this ritual/tradition does nothing to honor the Anthem and/or Flag, therefore I cannot concur with it.

Re-listening to the link, the fans sung the last three phrases: "Star Spangled Banner yet wave", "O'er the land of the free" then "And home of the brave". I absolutely love Cornelius gesturing open hand to the Flag(s)on the field as he belted "Flag was still there" and first phrase above; and once again I thoroughly enjoy his singing voice.

I've seen Seattle three times this season.

Seattle has the best punter in the league.

Not that it helped yesterday.

GO BEARS.
