This was my first reaction:D. That's just because others have said the same thing.

I'll be completely honest with you. If I sat here right now and said you should be in the Hall of Fame, I'd have to say it for quite a few other guys, too. I think you will be in the Hall, but not yet. You do have better sports knowledge than a lot of your competition, but I think you're going to have to come on the board with strong football stuff to get in or do like Dragons08 and get to 10K posts. You're one of the best in off-topic, but that doesn't get you in the Hall as quickly as football talk does. You do well in basketball and that helps.

I'm serious on this one. Whatever happened to you talking about Clemens and football in general? You used to talk about football a lot until we got an off-topic area. If you'd kept talking about football, you'd probably be in the Hall of Fame right now.

Yeah Seguin. I know that i have alot of knowledge about basketball and I don't do a whole lot of high school football but I am not asking my way in. Heck I am doing my hardest and working my way in. But to say if you can get in to the HOF yeah but you have a long road ahead of you.

It's not hard to get into the Hall of Fame. All you need to do is post stuff about football first that adds to the board. Some of us really like off-topic and other forums, but most people come for football discussion and that means high school first.

Dragons08 is the best example yet of how not to get in the Hall of Fame. He got in at 10K posts and that's a lot more than anybody else ever needed. Wide probably needed 5K just because of the bannings. Otherwise, he would've been in a lot earlier. Quantity can make a name for you around here, but quality gets you in the Hall of Fame.

That is true and I am trying to realize that. Sure i may think that I can get in by just talking about other things but i am wrong and this is a football board and i think that sets the standard for being in the hall of fame.

Okay, this is my real last post.

Blow me primetime.

I am in first place in the ESPN bracket challenge for the 5atexasfootball group and if I finish it in first (and I will) then it is yet another of my notch on my belt of outstanding credentials. Another reason I deserve to be in... afterall, the football pick guy got in.

I did talk football during football season (when the Mats were in it).

That is it! I am done!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Seguin, I am with lonny on this. You are close, but you need to get more on topic.

In my opinion, I am not even close to HOF status. I try and present a lot of stats, but I really don't contribute that much to conversations.

The Hall's supposed to be kind of a suprise, lol. You can't demand the Hall. We don't put people in the Hall. The Hall decides when a poster is ready.

I don't know why people let it get them so bent out of shape anyway. If it causes that much problem we should probably change the whole system because that's not what it's about.

Don't know why people bother to get riled up feeling superior or inferior to someone because of a poster title. All in fun mis amigos. We could all do well to remember that once in a while.

I really don't remember you saying much until it was close to time for Judson to play Seguin. When you look at it, you really don't have very many weeks of football discussion. Some people post about football for several seasons before getting in.

Look at the numbers. About 85-90% of the current Hall of Famers posted for at least 1 and mostly more than 1 complete football season. I've been around since 2003 and am one of the newest Hall of Famers to the board. Some go back to 2000 and 2001. There was no Hall of Fame before April 2005. If you guys get to the point where you discuss football statewide, you'll get into the Hall of Fame. It's not easy to get in. When I talk to Scooter! at work or Farmerfan on the phone, I'm impressed with the knowledge these guys have. They are legit Hall of Famers. They know teams, players, coaches, stats and all kinds of stuff. I learn from those guys. That's what gets you into the Hall of Fame.

I asked KT2000 about Community Veteran one time in 2004 and he said they were going to wait a while to induct the next group of people. I was the post leader when the board crashed in April 2005 and still wasn't a Vet (almost all of the other top 10 posters were Vets), but I was determined to keep making good posts (we only had a high school forum). After the board came up, I was a Hall of Famer like the top Vets. All of these extra forums have made a bunch of you talk about other stuff and then you can't understand why you don't get recognized. That Main Forum will always be where it's at. Getting into the Hall during the dead months is hard. I still think some of you guys could get in if you tried real hard.

To tell you the truth after reading that, I m definitely a hard worker and I am learning from different people everyday and that makes me a better person here on this board and if working hard gets you into the hall of fame, then dang it I am going to do my best and i will do whatever i can to get there and I know that getting in is going to be tough because i usually don't talk alot about football but that isn't going to stop me from working hard to get in the HOF.

I wish people didn't get so bent out of shape. I think the system is fine. Dragons08 is the only person who ever got in by posting a lot. The rest of the bunch has a lot to say about football. Even Dragons08 talks about football, but maybe not with as many details as the others.

Please get that Tiger off the board. That's cause for banishment. I bet I hate Louisiana, and especially LSU, more than you hate Duke, who I don't care for either. I used to kind of deal with Duke, but when I saw those fans in the Final Four in 2004, all bets were off.

That brings up a good point that me and Miss Kitty were talking about a few days ago. You and your dad are like a tag team with him posting about football and you on the other stuff. Have you ever thought about using your own screenname? Ultimately, I'd want either or both of you to be a Hall of Famer based upon your own merit and not a combined effort.

The deal with me is that I want to be good at anything I do. I don't give half efforts. I've said a lot in this thread because I'm trying to help the guys accomplish what they want. Being a Hall of Famer does mean something to us or else one of us would've changed our avatar back by now. It would take just one click of my mouse to get rid of Hall of Famer and automatically revert back to whatever level 13K gets you.

I one of those people who is not bent out of shape by this whole HOF thing. I for one am trying to do my absolute best and i will do whatever it takes to get there. I have an unbelievable amount of support here on this board and a whole lot of dedication into this board and what I do on it. Talking about sports is one thing I do best and becoming a sports journalist is not going to be easy and i am trying to get myself ready for my career by talking sports on this board and if I have to talk about sports to get into the hall of fame then i will do it. I am not asking to get in, like i said earlier I am working my way in.

All I'm saying is that you guys need to be apart if/when it comes time to look at you for the Hall of Fame. 2000 or Champ might even consider giving you an appropriate post count if you get a different screenname. Your dad might have 300-400 posts, but I could be off in my count.

This is a highschool football site, talk football, and stooop *****ing about getting into the hall.
