If they could have reworked his deal, that would give Dallas some much needed depth on the line.

He was still one of the top tackles in the game, and he was definitely the best olineman last season for the Cowboys... Yea thats really dead weight....

Calling somebody the best O-lineman for the Cowboys is like talking about the best beach in Midland.

He was a guard and JTK is right.... Cowboys O-linemen suck.

The best beach in Midland is probably the sandbox in Dennis The Menace Park. Yes, I've been goofy enough to let my girls play there twice.
On topic, the Cowboys have had an up and down line. Allen is not bad, but he's not a Pro Bowler even when he gets voted in.

Dude, the first time I went to the Monahans Sandhills when I was a kid, I kept asking my mom when we were gonna get to the ocean.
Larry Allen had been living off past success for years now. I do wish that the Cowboys had been able to retain him, because, as jtk said, he would provide some much needed depth. The 'Boys need to completely retool their O-line, both through drafting and free agency. To bad they didn't pursue som o-lineman with the same vigor they did TO.

Haha! I forgot about Dennis the Menace park until just now.
Though not likely, Dallas could still resign him. From what I can tell, the fans who were against signing TO are all for cutting Larry Allen. I hope my circle of friends and I aren't in the minority. This move pisses me off far more than any loudmouth receiver ever could.

i think larry allen should retire. he is too old and has not been very productive on the o-line for many years now. he cowboys will have to get some better o-line if they want to produce a championship season. they should go deep into the playoffs this year and possibly the super bowl.

I'm starting to doubt that he will re-sign with Dallas seeing how he just signed with San Francisco.

yeah! right! Not! You think Bledsoe would of been one of the top QBs this year with out some one on the O`line blocking! I think thats enough said....

I like the Monahans Sand Dunes, but they sure get hot during the day. You have to watch out for snakes, too.
Allen has been overrated for a while.

Yeah, I was looking at the Midland map one day and saw the park. I just had to take the girls to play there. I've even gotten my picture taken with the park sign.
