wide you were wrong. he doesn't fly to get around. He drives one of these:

http://i11.ebayimg.com/01/i/06/5c/77/e1_2.JPG

I had just decided to leave class early, walked out and was at the bus stop at 21st and Speedway and this Mercedes G-Series pulls up. I look inside and it's none other than VY driving with some older looking white guy. I was on the phone at the time and I immediately couldnt talk and my jaw dropped. I tried driving by the bubble later to stalk him and didn't seem him out there. Would it have been too much (stalkerish) if I'd have waited around by his car for an autograph? My friends say yes.

What do you mean?

Lets start off with the make: A Mercedes Benz. It's obviously very new. And the starting price for that bad boy is roughly $80,000. Now, I dunno about you, but I don't think Vincey baby had that kinda money prior to going to Texas. And If I heard correctly during football season. Players are not allowed to earn moeny by way of endorsement or money from the school. With the exception of the weekly allowance things or whatever they are. But I'm sure they don't total out to $80,000. So tell me, how would Vincey be driving this? Course we all know it couldn't be a....."gift"....from the University.

Don't start with this. VY could walk into any dealership in Texas and get a credit line started, for any car he wants. He is sure money, plus the sales folk will get a kick out of serving Superman. I guarantee you that the local Mercedes dealer wants to establish a good relationship with a future first rounder... make him happy and he'll be buying a lot more Benzes

you do know, that you can get a loan, based on possible future job..

our old house in illinois, a guy was looking to buy it, but was curious as to how, well the bank was going to give a loan, obviously, but this kid was right out of med school..they gave it to him based on future earnings

You're kidding right? :D That's too damn funny. :D :D

There is a reason that when Alex Smith went up on stage as the #1 draft pick last year to hold up his 49ers jersey next to Tags, he was doing it in a $10,000 suit.

Do you have any idea the line of credit these guys have right now? Reggie Bush is building a $5 million home in San Diego for his family as we speak. Michael Huff is already scouting locations for his IHOP. Supposedly American Express gives a card with a six figure spending limit to the guys believed to be high first round picks.

Vince Young, Reggie Bush, Matt Leinart, Jay Cutler, D'Brickashaw Ferguson, Mario Williams, AJ Hawk and several others could walk into any car dealership in America tomorrow and drive away in any car they want. These guys could fly to New York and have Kenneth Cole personally fit them for a dozen suits and then walk down the street and have Tommy Hilfiger personally fit them for a dozen more suits and then pick up 100 pairs of shoes at the Times Square Niketown on the way to signing the lease on their new apartment at Trump Plaza. They can do this because God and everybody knows that these guys are going to be picking up eight figure signing bonuses within the next month or so.

And rattler even if it isn't "his," there are ways around it. For example, I believe he had a Tahoe last year. It wasn't his, he was just borrowing it from the dealship with their approval.

Exactly, that's how LeBron got his hummer in high school the bank gave his mom the loan to buy that car because they knew that they would see that money again.

Lets start off with Vince is not a college athlete anymore he signed with an agent which makes him a professional and I believe he also signed endorsement contracts, therefore he has employment. Agents will loan their clients money to purchase things, dealerships will loan cars to famous people in exchange for free advertisement, as another poster said they are given lines of credit because of future earnings, he is probably leasing the vehicle. I bet you did not care what VY drove, rode or walked in when he was student teaching or making weekly trips to the children’s hospital to visit critically sick kids. How do you think he got the money?

You do of course know that Vince wasn't the one charging those prices right? Well, of course you don't. It's in you little code... aggy doesn't lie and I know you would never lie in a desperate, juvenile attempt to belittle someone. So, now you know and you won't be forced to incorrectly state the facts on this subject ever again. Those prices were charged at autograph sessions where the promoters determine the price and the athletes receive a flat "appearance fee". Neither the athlete nor his management control the prices. It was the same for Reggie Bush when they were charging $119 for his autograph at one of these sessions in San Diego recently.

Those autograph sessions are big for collectors and those involved in the sale of autographed memorabilia... that's why so much is charged. You don't see a lot of Dad's with little Timmy standing in line at these events. Most people are smart enough to realize that you can stand in line for hours and pay close to $100 for an autograph from Roger Clemens or you can just show up to the ballpark a couple hours before the game and get it for free. Same with Vince. The dude is everywhere and he gives out autographs like candy. Take for instance the autograph session he held in Austin a few weeks ago with Huff. Autographs were free, but wait... there was a one autograph limit. DAMN THAT SELFISH VINCE!!

Something tells me that TI's "I'm tha King" blaring over the loud speakers of St. Peter's Square would piss some people off. It would be cool to see the Popemobile rolling on 24s though.

You could get free VY stuff autographed too. Every superstar in the game has autograph days where they charge to sign stuff. This is such lame a** hating I don't even know when to begin. Makes me ashamed that there are Aggies like this out there.

I seriously consider you look at what you wrote and go think about it in a corner somewhere. If for some reason after that you still feel the same, I have a 10' electrical cord you can borrow to go hang yourself with.

Seriously though, after giving a performance like his in the Rose Bowl why would one not accept money ahead of time? Do you really think he gives two ***** about the minute amount of interest he may or may not lose from getting to use the money early? We're talking about more money than either or us will likely see in a lifetime....put together at that. Get serious sir.

Idk if you've read any articles lately about VY's progress, but the WILDCARD has been getting lauded big time for his work ethic. I can't wait to see him play if he progresses enough to pass Billy Volek by the end of the season.
