Ahhh, so lonny does have a little brother out there. ;) You can always tell a green pea in here when they bring up a topic that has only been covered a few dozen times. :D. No prob. dj9, we have (and still do) give CJ their props..they have earned it.

I feel good going into the year. You can't ever feel bad going into a year if you like Judson. The odds are they will be a good team each year and you just wait to see how they'll do in non-district. When you're a fan of a team, you get their past and their future and I'll never have a problem with somebody throwing out stats.

It's about time you come back. I thought you fell off the face of the earth. It might be about time to make somebody mad since I haven't done it in so many months! ;)

I don't have any axes to grind, so I don't have any wars planned with particular towns. I won't ever get out of the predicting business, but like always I wait until the games start before I say stuff. I'll never be afraid to be wrong, because I always figure I'll be right more than I'm wrong.

I remain constant in my opinion that Judson was week-in and week-out the best team I saw play last year. They ultimately didn't win the title because they played a great opponent in Westfield at their best when the Rockets were less than their best. In the end, it's too hard to play 15 or 16 great games in a season and you have to hope your worse games are played against lesser opponents. Judson was due for a bad game, but I ignored the odds all year. To answer your question, I won't take anything for granted and I appreciate title teams more now than ever before. You need real good talent, health, and some luck to win a title.

yea, both of our seasons ended to losses by 2 great teams in Westfield and Lufkin.....i guess if you are going to lose, at least lose to programs such as these......good luck to the Rockets on a title run........

Thanks, you know I'm rooting for Longview and disappointed when they don't win it all.

Actually Judson is 4-0-1...
San Angelo Central 1994 and 1995
was still a member of the "Little Southwest
Conference" (3-5A)...
As of this day they opt out in Football for
the district and play with the Lubbock/Amarillo schools, but play all other sports in 3-5A..
They got tired of getting beat up by Odessa/Midland/Abilene.... :)

1994
SA Central- 14
Judson - 14

1995
SA Central - 3
Judson - 48

That opt-out rule is chintzy. I remember whne they were talking about doing it for Rockwall to not have to travel to East Texas.

Boy, I'd like to go back to those days right about now. To answer your question, I'm disappointed in this season. I know the players played hard, but we haven't gotten it done. I do want that 6-4 season, though and a winning district record.

It is going to either be 4-6 or 5-5- for the rockets this year. It really is the curse of the Spurs and the Spurs look like to the team to beat this year as well. It has not been like the old times and this year has brought out more of the things, which happen in the future. It will be interesting to really see just what district both Wagner and Judson end up in. It will also be interesting to see just what kind of team Wagner can bring to the table. I have heard that they have only lost 1 game so far and have been beating teams up preety good, but thats JV football. I feel that these older Judson fans will follow Wagner in a minute if they become better and that's OK, it is part of their tax dollars, so if they become the next Judson then I will too get on board, while Judson trys to get theri act together, so it might not so doom and gloom after all.

How can you just jump ship if Wagner becomes the better team and just forget about Judson after following them all these years? I would understand if you remain loyal to Judson while following Wagner, but it sounds like you are ready to dump judson to the curb for Wagner.

It depends on who has the cooler gear, just kidding. I will try to support both teams as I am sure most in the district will. I think that if their varsity games are scheduled on different days both teams will enjoy great support, but if they are on the same day, it will depend on who is playing, who has kids playing on what team, etc.
