That'd be a bit of a road block, but we'd come up with something.
My worst fear as far as HS athletics go...some politician gets enough people behind him to abolish extracurricular activities.

You have no idea how hard some of us have fought to keep extracircular activities alive. When they talk about budget cuts that is the first thing to go.

I'll guarantee you that football will be the last to go. First things to go will be choirs and stuff like that....

Well guess what I have been fighting to keep, yep "Choirs and stuff like that". Since I don't have a son, but I do have a daughter who is a Voice/Music major, it is kind of important to me. :)

It should be imprtant to you. If your daughter is a Voice/ Music major and they try to get rid of it, then she will be devistated.

Believe me, I fight for all of them. My youngest is into sports so I have a vested interest there too. I think extracircular activites is a very important part of school. It is what keeps some kids in school to get the education they need.

Since this was about the website and the websites about football, I sorta tried to relate. But not too many people really think about things like choir. Yes, I myself was in choir my freshman year *waves fist* darn fine arts credit!

I am sorry, I did kind of get off topic. But bottom line is, that was an awesome answer. The worst thing that could happen is to lose extracircular activities. I was just trying to point out to some of the younger members especially, that this is a very real fight, even in Texas. And knowledge is power & getting involved in this fight is very important for everyone.

People just need to remember that if there is no complaint then there is no problem. So if they don't speak up and fight, the authorities will assume everything is fine. Democracy only works if people speak up.

You turned a perfectly fine thread into a moronic rambling about ladies hitting high notes.
You all have done it.
Start the timer and prepare to walk the plank.

Yo ho, yo ho, a pirate's life for me.
We pillage, we plunder, we rifle, and loot,
Drink up, me 'earties, yo ho.
We kidnap and ravage and don't give a hoot,
Drink up me 'earties, yo ho.
Yo ho, yo ho, a pirate's life for me.
We extort, we pilfer, we filch, and sack,
Drink up, me 'earties, yo ho.
Maraud and embezzle, and even high-jack,
Drink up, me 'earties, yo ho.
Yo ho, yo ho, a pirate's life for me.
We kindle and char, inflame and ignite,
Drink up, me 'earties, yo ho.
We burn up the city, we're really a fright,
Drink up, me 'earties, yo ho.
We're rascals, scoundrels, villans, and knaves,
Drink up, me 'earties, yo ho.
We're devils and black sheep, really bad eggs,
Drink up, me 'earties, yo ho.

I don't know if many schools have it or not. I think it's mostly a local gym type thing like Bela Karoyli, who taught people in Houston for years.

Yes, we're well aware that you guys are up 2-0. That last win came against what very well might be Judson's worst team in the last 29 years.
It was just a joke anyway.
