Anyone watching the Texans right now? These last two drives have been crazy going into OT

And they close it out in typical Texans fashion.

I hate watching the Texans play... They always pull one of those... But they always make me watch them... I need to give up hope on the Texans... Its just so hard when they have 2nd halves like that...

They find the most unique ways to come back and then lose. I almost wonder if Ashton Kutcher is going to jump out of my television in week 17 to say that I've just been punked.

The Texans have an uncanny ability to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory.

1,000 ways to lose....and the Texans have done all 1,000 this year.

If RedRage was a QB.....he would be Matt Schuab.....he has Happy Feet under pressure and when the heat is coming he usually falls down or throws a one hopper that lands 3 feet in front of him......I can just hear RR in the Pocket..."Oh my God, Oh My God, Oh my God" Then screams and falls or just throws the ball away. Then he gets to the huddle "Wheeew...did you see that...that guy almost GOT me....OMG"

Somebody tell Houston that the first quarter, is really the fourth quarter. Then, tell Houston, that the second quarter is really the fourth quarter.

They will beat teams by 60.

Oiler legacy, it has something to do with the water I think. I loved the Oilers, but they ALWAYS found a way to disappoint.

How come in overtime the Texans didn't give the ball to the NFL's leading rusher? Bye bye Kubiak.

I don't understand.
Kubiak has 15 mins to make adjustments and prepare his team for the second half, and does a good job, but he has 6 days to prepare the team for the first two quarters?!?!?!?!?

As I listened to the talk radio this morning, as I love to do after Texans losses, I received further confirmation of how far off the reservation some of the people down here really are.

The morning hosts both agreed the Texans would be a turnkey franchise for any new coaching hire. They've seriously brainwashed themselves to believe this team is one little tweak away from winning the Super Bowl.

I know this is the NFL and fortunes can change overnight, but let's be real for a minute.

The Texans have done a terrible job with drafts outside of a few hits, and that's why the franchise is neck deep in mediocrity. Until the Texans change from their past and current meat market draft policy, and start looking at actual football talent, they won't get anywhere near a conference championship.

must be a Texas thang, see Dallas Cowboys for similar thoughts, then see record for reality check.

Vandemer and Lopez?

I think out of the last 10 1st round picks.....8 were defensive players......yet....the worst defense in the HISTORY of the NFL.

We are enablers......when you pat a coach on the back for going 8-8........they are comfortable being mediocre.

Did you hear McNair on the radio say that he thinks the team is moving in a positive direction?

You can expect more mediocrity in the coming years. Most owners fire a coach after the Texans' play calling from the end zone during OT.

This team flat out tanked against the Titans. Hard to see how the owner thinks they are headed in the right direction. A loss is one thing, quitting is something else.

I wonder what McNair's hearing from his peer group today.

"You have the best 5-9 team in the NFL."

"How can we get you on our schedule more?"

How badly will the Texans suck today?

How many points does the D allow in the 1st qtr?

How many points will the O have to score in the 4th qtr to tie or dare I say..Win?

In the possibility of the Texans coming back and either tieing the score or going ahead with seconds to go in the 4th qtr, which scenario occurs?

A. With 2 seconds on clock, Texans kick off and opponents return it for TD.
B. With 50 seconds on clock and opponents on their own 2 yd line moves downfield to score either winning TD or field goal?
C. In OT Texans lose toss and opponents return kick off for TD.
D. None of the above. Texans get thoroughly beat all 4 qtrs.

I should have made this a poll.

Then on Monday afternoon McNair gives Kubiak 5 year extension on his contract and replies that Kubiak is moving the team in a positive direction.

E. Texans envy the Cowboys ability to lose a game by missing a PAT.
F. Texans envy the Cowboys ability to throw pick 6's on the first two drives, comeback from 18 behind, then lose by 1 point to a FG.

How badly will the Texans suck today? They'll suck so bad, Denver will lose about 1000ft in altitude

In the possibility of the Texans coming back and either tieing the score or going ahead with seconds to go in the 4th qtr, which scenario occurs? I'll go with option B, drive 98 yards to score the game winning TD all the while the Texan D will make Tebow look like the second coming of Joe Montana.

Play calling is horrible....you're in FG range, down by 1, with under 2 minutes left....you have the leading rusher in the NFL, that touched the ball 5 times in the 2nd half......and you're throwing the ball.....

What would amaze me more if is he's allowed to coach this team one more season. 5-10 isn't even mediocre.

he is definitely gone, no question there. Has dealt with a ton of injuries and they were in every game they played and should have won. Defensive coordinator cost him his job.

Who brought in the Defensive Coordinator?..When they gave all the Power to the guy with no head coaching experience...he brought in all of HIS guys....including a GM.

I've never driven a racecar in my life....if someone hires me as a driver for the first time ever.....I'm not gonna say..."OK, but I want FarmerFan, Matt and a few other guys from 5Atexasfootball to be my pit crew"......As a "Newbie" I shouldnt be making those kinds of decisons.......

He is a great OC...no doubt....but being 36-43 since 2006, with a GREAT offense...would get every other coach on the planet fired.....why not Kubiak?
