are they back or just a flash in the pan the last couple of games? I know what the haters will say but I am interested in what the real cowboy fans have to say.

I am a real Cowboy fan and I have no idea. Obviously, I'm hoping it's real, but I'm going to have to see it continue for the rest of the season first. Of course, then Jerry will probably let Garrett go and hire some 80 yr old puppet.

let's talk about it after Thursday. If they pull a win I am going to start giving Garrett some props.

I'm not a Cowboys fan, but I will say this, if Jerry Jones has any bit of sense he will hold onto Garrett until the end of next season...unless he just dive bombs in this current season. There is a completely new feel to the way this team is playing. Not only are they winning, they are mentally focused like I haven't seen in YEARS! I don't want to sound ridiculous here, but if they were to rattle off another 4 wins, the playoff race could get very interesting. It would take a miracle, but with the way they are preparing mentally and physically they are doing their part to keep the Giants, Eagles, and Redskins on their heels. I think it would be hilarious if the Cowboys made the playoffs and the Texans didn't, but right now it looks like neither.

Garrett has done some good things thus far with his routine and message. The team has been alot sharper in their exectuion, as evidence by the decline in penalties. Having said that, let's not get carried away. They stunned a NY team that underestimated their opponent and beat Detroit who, while much improved, hasn't won a road game in 3 years. In the NY game the surrendered 500 yards of offense. Against Detroit the offense disappeared for 2 and a half quarters. If you do either of these things against NO, Indy or Philly you will lose by 12+ points.

Dallas will finish 4-12.

I say we go 6-10. With the losses being NO Indy and one of the Philly games.

5-11 is the highest I'll go, with wins over the Redskins and Cardinals. That would be .500 ball for Garrett which would have to be considered a fairly big deal under the circumstances.

NO is going to be an ugly, sobering loss, imo.

Indy will be at home. Mannng is too much for this group, even if he's throwing to practice squad guys. Our only hope there is that they are playing 7-11 clerks in the secondary right now. Dez and Miles could show big.

Philly is going to torch us, if healthy. We have the worst safety play in the league. They have a pair of deep threats and a qb that runs a 4.4 and can throw the ball 70 yards in the air.

I'm as die hard about the Boys as a good number of you but, I have to say that I don't know. Let me also show Garrett some love, due to the discipline that he has instilled in this team. Amazing how all of the stupid penalties IMMEDIATELY STOP when he takes over as coach. The offensive line is also playing better, as well. If this continues, then we may have something. But, I wanna see them do it for more than 2 games.

This.

They won't win out for sure, but at least Garrett has pumped some life into the squad and they are at the very least playing sound football.

We simply won't know for some time if the players are really buying into Garrett and if he has commanded their respect or if this is just a short term bump due to the coaching shakeup.

In any event you can now watch them play without having to keep a puke bucket by your chair.

Keep in mind that we play Philly in week 17. By then they will most likely have wrapped up the division and will probably rest their starters. Which means we will most likely win that game. And by then Romo could be back if they don't decide to shut him down for the season.

They've played up to their capabilities in the 3 wins, and it's not impossible for them to run the table and make the pos, however unlikely. The rest of the season is about saving face in the wake of the expectations going into the season.
