I just watched the most disgusting thing I've ever witnessed in a football game.

Peyton Manning through a deep pass to Austin Collie who looked to have caught the ball took 2 steps only to be hit head to head by 2 eagle defenders. The ball came loose and the eagles recovered...however the refs blew the call dead....and said it was incomplete.

After the hit..Austin Collie falls to the ground and lays their motionless...he seriously looked like a dead corpse on the field. The Eagles fans booed for 2-3 minutes after the play because they didnt like the call on the field regaurdless of the player laying on the field the whole time.

After about 10 minutes...they got him on a stretcher...and he was taken off the field in full straps and facemask removed. The minute the stretcher starts rolling..they must have shown the replay again...only for the fans to boo again.

What happened to the city of brotherly love??

WOW!!!

I know they had a jail in the old stadium -- I would imagine they do in this one, too.

Neither hit was head to head... clean hit.

But yeah... Philly is a horrible place. I've been a few times and never plan on going back. I'd live in New Mexico before I'd live there

"Roger, we have a problem"

Does anyone see the helmet of Eagles safety #42, Kurt Coleman, not hit Austin Collie's helmet? The answer should be no, unless you are completely ignorant. It has been proven from previous weeks in this current season that it doesn't matter how the two helmets touch, but that if they do indeed touch, a fine and/or penalty will be enforced. Knowing that Roger Goodell is trying to get as much money in his hands as possible, I see this as another $75,000 fine or more. I think it is ridiculous, but it is part of the NFL rule book! Whether it is liked by the general public/players/coaches or not, it is still there and will be there until they change it. As far as I know, the players safety will always be the main topic of discussion. If that stops being the focus, I have lost all hope in professional sports.

All apologies to Philly and it's citizens but Cowherd has this town pegged to a tee. Phiadelphia is a population of people with jobs, not careers. When you have a job you can go and act the fool because you can always get another job. When you have a career you tend to think before you act. Philadelphia's high school graduation rate is amongst the worst of the nation's metro areas. Philadelphia is also home to fewer college graduates than any of the major cities in the US. As a populus they are less educated and less accomplished than most of their counterparts. It shows.

Everytime I watch the video it sickens me...especially seeing that puke Asante Samuel running around throwing a fit in front of Collie and the training staff as he's laying almost dead on the field.

I totally agree with you, that is so sad that some players act as if they are the only one on the field.
