It is off-season and I am bored so I decided to steal this idea from the West Texas people. Pick a quarterback, two running backs, three recievers, an O line... Kicker, punter etc.... D-line, linebackers, DB's...

Starting off with quaterback... I have got to say that Nick Fanuzzi from Churchill would be the best quarter back in region 4 this year.

What do you guys think at running back? T.J. Horny of O'Connor maybe? Max Minor of Westlake? That kid Wright from Reagan? I am not sure... we don't have any sure fire backs like James Henry was last year.

Ah, I almost forgot Trent Rios from Smithson Valley is also up for consideration.

Yeah, I wouldn't say he is a top 2 back in the area coming into the season but IF he works hard he will be succesful at SV with a solid O line and team... maybe be the top back in the area coming into his senior year. Key thing is working hard though... he isn't going to get any taller so he is going to have to work harder than everybody else.

lol.. give it up.. he is going to be a midget just like his older bro.

LOL..don't tell him to chill out... make him keep working. 1500 yards? Is he going to have to split carries? I think that is possible.

mine too, for the first 2 games, then we have to pick another one.... :D J/p, hopefully this year he can play the FULL season! I saw him in the classic last year and the kid is exciting to watch, the only reason passes were not being completed were because his recievers were dropping them!

Jose Mendoza is a solid pick for FB.

I think to start off with the defensive side of the ball you have to start with two Seguin players in Desmond Jackson at CB and Marcus Richardson at MLB... both are the only two first team all defense players returning from the Express News all area team.

Kid from McAllen Memorial. Put up great stats last year.

As far as him being able to do the same thing in SA.... I am not sure. I know he would be good because you have to be good to put up numbers like he did... but I am not sure his numbers would be so staggering. I think he is still a legitamite top rb in the area though.

I will agree with seguin..IMO i think this kid can handle the bulk playing for any highschool football program in Texas..

now if he played with an SA team against the other SA teams I still think he would be productive but not equally to what he has done here in the valley..mainly because defenses are better up there..the kid has talent no doubt..good vision, fast, humble, strong, and most important very smart..

I think some people might be surprised by that Qb out at Sv. I don't think he wil be an All-State Qb (but he might). But I think he will turn some heads come next fall.

I didn't put Carl Bouldin in here, but he is a good QB. Very Mobile, throws well. But because Judson doesn't throw much and because our recievers have not proven themselves yet he will not be one of the best in the state statistically.

Ill throw in a Center since we seeing a lot of QBs.

At left Tackle I would choose Greg Lewis from O'Connor the kid is 6' 3" 265 and has a quick kick off the ball. He can move very well laterally and I didn't see too many quick Defensive ends get by him. Not very many blown assignments and the kid is VERY smart. He's being recruited by D1 schools, and should easily be an All-city selection.

You had a pretty good motor, and i know he does too.He has those signs, like popping up as soon as he goes down, messing with his knee pads, etc. I`d love to see him average at least 5 catches a game.

lol thanks and you can thank my mom for the popping up after hit thing. she said if she ever saw us laying on the field she would go out there and drag us off lol. my senior year i got my back two teeth knocked out in the middle of a game i blacked out for about 10 sec. and the first thing i thought when i realized where i was was "o man i hope i wasnt laying on the field my mom is going to kill me"

The Stephens kid would definitely tear it up if he was on a SA team. I don't think we have too many RB's in SA squat 600 LBs WOW! This kids measurables are very impressive. Put this kid behind a decent line and you could forget it.

HEIGHT: 5"11'
WEIGHT: 190 LBS
GRADUATION CLASS: 2007
GPA 4.0
NATIONAL HONOR SOCIETY MEMBER

40 YD DASH TIME: 4.41
BENCH PRESS: 315 LBS
INCLINE PRESS: 275 LBS
LEG SQUAT: 600 LBS
SHORT SHUTTLE: 4.13 SEC.
3 CONE SHUTTLE 6.69 SEC.
VERTICAL: 35 INCHES

I believe that Stephens one of the top 3 RB in the State according to Rivals and a national recruit would have no problems excelling on a SA team and putting up great numbers on any team in the state. Love to see this kid behind a line like Trinity!

I am sure he is fast and strong but those numbers are probably inflated.

TIGER

I really don't know if his numbers are inflated or not. Some kids inflate their numbers to get noticed. I don't think that this kid has that problem and any inflated numbers would only hurt him at this stage of the game. I took the information off of the web site listed in this post.

With all of the scrutiny this kid gets I don't think his numbers are inflated. In fact on his site it states that he tied some type of school record. When looking at him run on his film you can tell this kid is strong. I have seen his early season track times posted on one of the Rivals board and they are pretty darn decent as well. The kid definitely has some wheels. I guess the school put his coaches number on the site so people can call to confirm LOL...
