Dear, KT (aka R2):
I write this to you with the hopes that you pay attention to the words i write, and the sincerity of them sail past my reputation. I will be harsh, i will be fair, and i will try to be quick.
When i first came to this board their was a lure to it that was unmatched by any other site on the web. Perhaps because the whole interactivity had not caught on yet, or perhaps because it was truly the right time to embark on such an attempt. either way, i instantly became addicted to the content of your website as the personalities that were present on the board (when it was on the old forum). I didn't join at first, mostly because i didn't have time and was just and avid reader. However i found it hard to resist engaging in discussion revolving around high school and collegiate ball. so i joined up, and stay around till about July when i excused myself from the board....with every intention of staying away. i imploded admittedly, mostly due to my irration at the content of the board. however like any good product, it was hard to put down. I pushed other posters, i pissed them off, i behaved inappropriately a lot of the time. you tolerated it, eventually i realized i had to excuse myself. I had lost sight at the purpose of this outlet, and abused your hospitality to allow me to stay. I would regretfully acknowledge that i had produced far more non-sense then purpose. which brings me to my next point.....
Don't let this board turn into garbage.....it has far too much potential to be littered with this "trolling" attempts by posters of the lesser capability to discuss and debate. as a recommendation, id ask ALL posters to refrain from being cute on forums where we want to discuss football. why post? you liter it with ****...literally. It got to a point where even i could no longer even have a discussion about football, without hijacking a threat about irrelevancy or random blind sighting cheap shots.
KT, i wish your board the best of luck. But i think that it is pretty evident that posters such as myself have no place here anymore. trolling is applauded, and actual discussion dismissed. The Yard has literally taken over this entire board....at the very beginning i viewed the yard as a great thing....fought for it....loved it...i was wrong. that horrid board that depleted the quality of this board due to tolerance of similar Yard like activity being tolerated everywhere else....
Posters like JTK, Firebird, and Slorch have quit posting at the same frequency, or have quit all together.
JTK and I talked about it over a private message once, and at the time i didn't really pay any mind to it...but he had a point. This board is no longer for posters like me. it reaches a different audience. and frankly, i am no longer welcomed here.
Their are still good posters on this board, but their a LOAD of bad ones.
This board is still a great place, but i can see it further depleting to a "fun house" for the board. don't let it happen. and fellow posters, grow the hell up. let others discuss **** without hijacking it.
