let me make the first visitor post and say that Beauxman and I were at the game today, congrats on a nice win. I enjoyed the guy who yelled to Keller "next time schedule somebody else for Homecoming!". :D

Not sure what to expect from our boys against Coppell. The seniors need to make the most of their season and finish strong. We are at home and need to play with confidence. We played great in the first quarter against Allen and need to duplicate that for 4 quarters. A good outing against Coppell, a win against Central and Saginaw would be great for our program. The younger players need to come of age in these final 3 games and give these seniors something to remember. Finish strong TEXANS!!!!

The boys I saw yesteday have talent. McBride was there taking notes. Coppell will be well prepared, but know that Northwest is not Saginaw. They are a threat and will be honored by Coppell by receiving their very best. I hope that it will be a good game.

You can expect blood in the water and sharks. What NW needs to do is play the very best they can, then shake off the game afterwards and focus on the next one. Coppell is very fast. Even if you key on Cam he will get 150 on you. In this game I would say 200. Minden will get his passing back on track as the O-line for Coppell is big and solid, giving him time.
Defensively, you will not have time to go with long passes, they pushed us at times rushing only 3. Their DB's are smart and will wait in the bushes for the sideline route or some of the other short outs. One hope is to drag somebody across the middle under the LB's. Better be courageous though, cause he will be hit hard. We got maybe 75 yards rushing against them, I like your RB, but he is not going to get very far either.
Sorry for the doom and gloom. Biggest thing is to walk away, use the 24 hour rule, and look to the next game.:o

3 month bump
Surely there are some Texan fans out there. I played for Coach Prescott back in the day. I was happy to see them claw their way into the playoffs last year.

Can't wait until Friday. Any word on whether Williams will play for Allen?

I would think not. If he does it probably won't be for long.

Sandbagger!!!!
Sandbagger!!!!
I doubt this is a sandbagger statement. I know JNW has improved or so we are told, but I still do not think they can keep up with Allen so sure Westerberg would want JW to be ready for Longview and only let him play a few plays.

Sandbagger!!!!
Not sandbagging. He had limited carries against Cedar Hill. I don't see a reason to risk further injury letting him play this week with Longview and Plano in the near future.

I was looking on DMN at JNW's roster and noticed a ton of juniors and some sophomores on the roster. I wonder how much playing time these underclassmen get. The future looks good for you guys...but I hope Friday is not a part of the future. Impressive offensive numbers yall put up last week. BTW welcome to the Double-Wide Friday....get there early!!!

JNW gets to come to the "rat" hole. If they have never seen it before, I would be interested in their comments as they are walking off the bus. You know it has to be a confidence builder for them, coming from there palace at JNW. Even their parents will feel like they are in a time warp circa 1975....good luck to all driving to the game as well. Be safe.

Think we played at Ford field in 75' so the Doublewide, which opened in 76' would not be there or back then was considered really nice. But thats the problem 76' was a long time ago and its about time we close it. Sure glad this is our last year, although lots of memories there. Yes, I'm sure the JNW fans and players will think this is the home of Allen Eagles, what a joke. You are right compared to their nice stadium it could give them a boost. Never sat on the visitor side but heard it is horrible and I know that side has the port-a-potties.
