Carroll has had a lot of them over the years, in 92 a lot of the footballers who won state, also played basketball & won state, & came within a game of winning state in baseball. Last year, Chase Daniel, Aaron Luna, Adam Hansen all played baseball & football. This year, Riley Dodge and Tre Newton played basketball & several football players including James Allen and Justin Drescher are playing baseball.

we have several - the ones that come to mind right now are: Roger Holland who excels in football, baseball AND track...he is great in all of them. Jack Freeman (I think the LaPorte Bulldogs remember him quite well) runs track and plays football; Ross Bruns and Jeff Welch - FB and Baseball...and many others whom I can't think of right now so any Eagle fans out there - please update my list. I think Anthony Price and Jeremy Bibb play two sports but not completely sure which ones - they are both FAST.
It is encouraged at Falls to be very well rounded athletically if they can and not just relegated to one sport and not be given a choice in the matter...as I've heard some schools do. I won't name names but I went to dinner with some friends from one in particular and they were talking about football pretty much being it - if you play another sport, you take a big chance of losing your football spot in the fall according to them. When I look at all the polls for the other sports, I see the Cy Fair schools all over the place and this particular school is never on them - only for football.

4 of the 5 starters on Richardson Berkners basketball team started for the football team. I'd say it's pretty successful.

Well, with alot of school such as Humble, alot of the football players run track. Just about every one of them does it but if you want the best multi-sport player it would have to Jerrod Johnson. Houston Area offensive player of the year in football and wow what an amazing basketball player. When they needed him most he carried the team. He's also playing baseball but he got banged up his first time pitching in about 2 and half years.

I'm sorry I didn't say what I wanted to say right. I meant to say best player out of Humble that plays more than one sport. Sorry, what I said before really makes me look arrogant. My fault.

A RB in powerlifting regional qualifier and Linebacker doing sprints in track, that's pretty good. Is your RB a FB?

The RB (Trampota) is a sprint-speed type guy...physically tough kid with a great attitude. The LB (Parish) was recently timed on a track (with spikes) at 4.38. He ran consistent 4.5s last summer football camps (turf and grass at A&M and Texas State, respectively). However, the other LB (Hanks) mentioned (above) is not only strong but owns the school's all-time 80-yard shuttle record (for his weight class) beating WR Detron Lewis head-to-head. WR Detron Lewis is a sleek sprinter type that is a standout in football, basketball, and track. In addition, he has D-1 offers to play football and is a national recruit.
When it comes to football...LB Parish and WR Lewis are stars on this team and are potential State Top 30 types. Lewis earned All-State Honorable Mention as a junior and is on this website's Junior All-Texas team. On the other hand, Parish is arguably the most talented football player on the Consol team.
I give all the credit to Consol's overall strength and speed to A&M Consol's Offseason Strength and Conditioning Coach, Steve Huff. He also serves as the Offensive Coordinator. The Head Football Coach and Athletic Director, Jim Slaughter, has developed an environment of positive chemistry among these group of athletes--they work hard, they play hard, they like each other, they are coachable and they respect their coaches.
