What is yalls opinion on how the district 5-5A will shape up for next year??
After being one of the toughest districts in the country with SLC and Denton Ryan being in it together plus Fossil... however, with Ryan and Fossil being out, what do you think will be the best 4 teams for next year?????

06 season:

Soutlake Carrol
Grapevine
Richland
Colleyville Heritage
Keller Central
Justin Northwest
Keller
Haltom

My opinion is:

Soutlake Carrol
Grapevine
Colleyville Heritage
Haltom

What do yall think????????????????

Looks pretty good..I think Coach George will get the most out of Haltom. Colleyville has a lot returning and won't have to rely on Ponder for everything, since he's gone they can't...Keller, Northwest, Keller Central?...nah....

looks pretty good to me..if it were to finish that way, would carroll be d1 or d2? that might be pushing d1 right there, its close

Keller 2789
Fort Worth Haltom 2609.5
Colleyville Heritage 2425
Southlake Carroll 2408
Keller Central 2370
Grapevine 2242.5
Justin Northwest 2210.5
Fort Worth Richland 2103

so if "stangsalltheway" prediction is correct then Heritage and Haltom would go D1; Grapevine and Carroll would go D2........:)

I bet the 4th spot is between Haltom & Keller, so if Carroll is fortunate enough to make the playoffs, to be D-1, Richland, Northwest or Keller Central would have to make the playoffs...not likely

I think Northwest will be better than people think. They're growing and some talent coming back.

In my opinion, this is not a tough district at all. I think Southlake has it easy.

Yeah, it's amazing how they were able to line up 63 easy teams over the past 4 years!

well a 5-5a district champion has not lost in the first round of the playoffs the past two years, and the district champion has not been blown out in a first round playoff game. That can't be said for Trinity's district.

Carroll wins district, blows out grapevine and "stangsalltheway" never comes back to the board

Here's an early "what if" thought on playoffs.

Haltom, Heritage, Grapevine and Southlake make playoffs in 5-5A.

South GP, Bell, Trinity and Mac make playoffs in 7-5A.

Southlake and Trinity both in D2 for the "Dream" matchup in round 2 if both win their district.:)

Assuming your match-up comes about, this is not necessarily the "dream" game that it would have been from 2005. Both teams may still be defending state champions in the division, but they will hardly be anywhere near the same as they were last year. By the way, the school's name is Carroll, not Southlake. :D (Just my hang-up there.)

and by the way the Gvine vs. Carrol game will be the same as last year, really close, however i think gvine has the chance to come out on top this year, and the following year :D
