KT2000 has been known to quote Sun Tzu from time to time...

Nearly all of the books I've read for fun were written by Tom Clancy. "Rainbow Six" is my personal favorite.

Actually, since my wife started working more I have been reading the works of Betty Crocker. But seriously I haven't been able to find time to read in a while. The only Oriental book I had was the Tibetan Book of the Dead. Grisham's the Firm was pretty good. I have history books and still own the Communist Manifesto by Marx and Engles. Throw me a bone about this Niezsche guy.

I would recommend anything by Frank Peretti. Start with This Present Darkness. Without a question my favorite book of all time (other than the Bible). Of course, like all true Texans, I still enjoy a Louis Lamor from time to time just for the fun of it.

I've always been a big fan of collecting famous quotes.....allot of them came from Nietzche. He was a guy who was so smart and ahead of his time people thought he was crazy.

When I first saw the name I thought of an offensive lineman for the Green Bay Packers in the 60's.

My wife started working nights several years ago, it allowed me to complete 42 seasons on NCAA football and actually wear out an x-box,

Why waste your time reading books...

I would never consider myself well read, but if you enjoy more of an autobiographical feel, I would pick up Homer Kickam stuff, his book, Rocket Boys (Also printed as October Sky) is probably my favorite.

Same here D08. I don't like reading things that I don't like. I agree with you that if it is something about Sports or another one of my hobbies I will read it. Plus I also read the sports page in the newspaper everyday. But anything else you can forget it.

Me too. I do find it interesting but at first I thought it was really boring just to sit through a history class and listen to it. But I also learned about what it took for america to fight for their freedom and that's something that I will always listen to.

I'm cool under fire. I have a flak vest handy and my helmet. It's either goof off here and be cold or go to bed and then have to get dressed.

Besides, there's no better place to hit 13K than my current surroundings.:D

That reminds me of some of the MRE's we're eating. Some of them have a postcard on the back and I said it was to send to your family so they know how bad it is.

I guess they're not bad and they're eatable even if they're cold. They served 2 hot meals today and they weren't bad even though chow hall food is usually better.

So I'm guessing that you would rather sit there and freeze your butt off and post till 13k rather than go to bed. Knowing you and how much you post, I would say that you will most likely be at 14k when the night is over.

The heater that halfway works in the work tent is better than the heater that doesn't work at all in the sleep tent. I have to zip up like a mummy in a sleeping bag to stay warm in there. It has proven to be warm in spite of my attire.
