Tonight I got my first chance to see the new video scoreboard a Rhodes Stadium (http://www.texasbob.com/stadium/stadium.php?id=518) in Katy. It was by far the best I've seen in a high school stadium. It was huge and wide like HD TV. The camera works was done by students from KISD's Miller Career Center.

I know there are other big video boards at other stadiums but this one is great.

That's no different from Rose Stadium in Tyler.

I'm not saying that this the biggest or the best but it is far above some of the ones that have been in for a few years. I have not been to Rose stadium in about 3 years and I don't remember the scoreboard.

Our new one is mighty pretty. And surprisingly not overwhelming with ads or movie fill-ins as I have seen on others such as Justin NW and CC.

Sometimes you have to have ads to help pay for the scoreboard. As a taxpayer I would prefer that a big video scoreboard be as self supporting as possible.

We do, the whole price is covered by the placing company with advertising.

Rose Stadium got theirs last year. It's identical with the one Rhodes got this year. You can go to olenwilliamsinc.com and check it out. You'll be amazed on how close they look.

Nice scoreboard but there have been posts that the sound system is terrible and the announcer named Biff is the worst anyone has every heard.

I would say that is a close match. They are great boards.
