Nope... no upset today. Good athletes on the part of Taylor, but Katy made the adjustments at half they needed to and never looked back. Seen this kind of game a thousand times from Coach Joseph's squad.

It's just another example how these teams come out and play hard to beat the champion. While Katy may have been runner up last year, regardless, they still have a place on the throne and everyone wants to beat them.

Yeah, even when I was there, back before Katy was thought of as the power that they are now, our general philosophy was to wear you down. You might jump on us early but we would just keep hittin' and beatin' on you until we wore you down. The coaches were not afraid to sub for starters and put others in the game. We stayed fresh and used our bench. Everyone had to be ready all the time. I am still amazed at how many kids would see the field and how willing the coaches were to yank a starter for a series or even more. The coaches were good at half time even back in the late 80's and early 90's when I was there but they are even better now IMHO.
