View Full Version : Tech to sign Leach through 2010

I have to say it is a great move for Tech. Leach has shown steady improvement each season, and what gets me even more excited is how much better he is at recruiting than Spike. Spike would go all out for maybe one 5-star player and then load up with no-names around the "star" of the class. Leach takes a more sensible approach, aiming for solid players that Tech has a real chance of getting that he feels can play at Tech. I also like that he recruits a WHOLE bunch of qbs. That is a real hit and miss season, it never hurts to have a stockpile and a bunch to work with.

I don't think Tech will ever be at a UT-type level, but they are already the solid No. 2 football program in the state, with room to improve.

There damn well better be a clause in his contract that says he has to do they weather report a couple of times a month. :D

You know this makes me happy because I think Leach and Knight are the best college football and basketball coaches in the state.

hard to describe that phenomenon to non West Texans.

also funny when they see a tumbleweed blow over I40 that is as big as their car, and say, " wow, they ARE real!"

Maybe they agree. Both are good coaches.
