Former Alice HC Brent Davis is in his second year at SAC. He is a very good coach. He fit well in Alice and I was sorry to see him leave. I do wish him well. Anyone hearing how Central might do this year and how Coach Davis is doing?

The uil is kicking Central around like a one of those step children you hear about. I'll be keeping track of them simply because they belong in this district with Midland, Abilene and Odessa. If this coach is a program builder and they give him his way, with time San Angelo can excell. The kids are in place. Just waiting for some type of stability.

Davis is a program builder. Last season there he led Alice to its first 12-0 season and first outright district title in 20 years His 'Yotes beat Calallen, too--something they had never done. He was in Alice four years, I believe. He comes from a W Texas coaching family.

Coach Davis and his staff are doing a great job and we are thrilled to have him in San Angelo! He and his staff seem to really understand how to build a program from the bottom up, and they have been given the tools and support necessary to create success.

Just from the last game of 2008 (under the former coach) to the first game of 2009 (Davis' first game), the changes were stunning, espeically on the offensive side of the ball. He definitely has the program headed in the right direction, and even though it will be a slow process, Bobcat fans are excited about the future:yes:
