I think once a decade or so goes by that will get changed.
It's happened many times; no-hitters have been taken away, and given to pitchers many years the fact on numerous occasions. Someday Gallaraga will get true credit, all of the purists that somehow reason it's better to keep a mistake as official record need to grow up and credit the kid for what he earned. One day...
