A family friend of ours (brothers best man) was a three year letterman (mostly special teams but saw some time at inside LB when they had a bunch of injuries), he had a poker game at his house and some of his Rice friends came including two olineman who will get playing time this year. I asked them about McGuffie, and they say: "He is so freakin fast and has gotten bigger with his year off. While they say that he can be a game changer with how fast he is, they like the other back they have more as a full time back. McGuffie is more likely going to come in in certain situations as a change of pace kinda guy" there was some more but they say he is going to play a lot but he probably won't start out the season as the every down back.

Thanks.

Maybe they use him in passing situations?

Out of the backfield, he could be dangerous. I don't think he'd be limited to that, I think he just isn't going to be the starter, or at least not to start the season. The other back they have is more of a 3-4 yard and a cloud of dust kind of guy

Other then on pitch plays, I think that's the only way you can use McGuffie.
