Did anyone watch the Winter Olympic Closing Ceremonies? If so, can someone please explain the Brides?

I missed the brides MK - sorry. But, boy that Ricky Martin can shake it huh? :rolleyes:

Actually - I really just saw the final credits roll. That is always my favorite part of a telecast like the Olympics or the Final Four tourney. The music and highlights -- it was cool this time with lots of drama crammed into a 5 minute recap video.

Naaaa, I turned Ricky and his Bon Bon off. I couldn't believe they had him on there. Oh well, they didn't ask my opinion I guess. LOL :D

I'm not sure but could your "brides" have been angels? It looked like a Saturday Night Live skit there for a minute, w/some guy with a white hood and angels wings leading a bunch of young singers with wings..I did'nt get it and changed the channel..

They could have been but they weren't. At least not from what I have read. But nobody explains the meaning of them.

If memory serves me correctly, the brides were supposed to represent HOPE -for the future. Funky way of doing it IMO. I had flashbacks to horror movies where the brides turn into ghouls.
