The one thing I think that is weak about this schedule is...the only real road games are the Midlands. I think Coach Warren scheduled a seemingly tough schedule...but did so carefully. Either way...Abilene fans will have a blast this summer. :)

I dont know if any of these will be game of the week, but our non district schedule should be fun this year if everything plays out like i think it will.

week 3-Leander @ Cedar Park (they dropped down to 4a)

I expect all of those teams to finish 1st or 2nd in their respective districts. We should know where we are as a team by the time district play comes along.

But you're right. Herschel posted the schedule on facebook awhile back...I went back and looked. Please forgive me.

I still would say however that @ Desoto vs Cocoa is a home game.

Overall Abilene will have a homefield advantage in 6 games and neutral for 2. You guys have to be very excited for the upcoming season. Great schedule.

Some people wouldn't put the Sam Houston game in there, but they (Sam Houston) have 4 offensive D1 guys (top 100 Texas) and are the closest thing to a dislike rivalry. That spells trap game on their field after our earlier schedule plays out.

That will probably be your best priced place. There is a Holiday Inn Express and a Marriott Residence Inn right out in that same area. They are both relatively new (last 3 years). Those are the ones that come to mind.
