ithink your wrong i think allen will beat plano for sure (first district game) b/c yall lost everybody and were geting everybody back and we will probably have one of the best teams allens ever had , even better than 03 .then we will beat berkner(should be a great game) and we'll do to west like we did this year.
ithank you for your opinion though.

What he said....except that the band will keep showing up for games and hang around until at least the semis...

I think Allen will fail to live up to the pre-season hype, yet again. As usual, the Eagles will probably have a mediocre showing during district play. In '06, I predict that Allen will lose to PESH, PLANO, and Berkner. Clinching the 4th spot to the playoffs will probably be the highlight of the season, but Allen will make its usual early exit, yet again. Personally speaking, the only entertaining thing I find about an Eagle game is watching the band play.

By the way, don't count out Plano next year because they are graduating a lot of seniors. They will be a surprise powerhouse yet again in '06. Plano vs. Berkner will be the game to watch.

Very true. Plano/Berkner should be a great game for any fan of smashmouth football. I'm already looking forward to it!

Yes. I'm also looking forward to matchups between Plano/Plano East and Berkner/LH due to the rivalry factor. Should be some great football in district 9-5a in '06.

Not to try and hijack y'alls thread, but I would think the opener with Garland will be a somewhat fair indicator of how the season will go. I'm not positive, but I would imagine Garland is the favorite and if Allen wins or keeps it close, that could set the stage for a very good year.

What makes you so sure coming off a 38 point beating at your place? We didn't lose everybody and you don't have everyone coming back. I think both teams wil be evenly matched and playing at Clark where their is enough parking and seating for everyone will give Plano the edge.

My wife graduated from Berkner. I graduated from Plano. Rest assured my 1 year old daughter will be wearing her Plano Wildcat baby cheerleader outfit at the game.:)
Berkner is 2-35 vs Plano. I don't care how good Berkner thinks they are. They won't beat Plano.

Berkner went thru that same train of thought vs everyone they played last year. You won't know what it's like trying to stop the Johson brothers until you actually see them on the field. I said last year and I'll say again this year, Berkner's not going to throw the ball. Stack everyone in the box and try to stop them. The only team that did it last year was AMC and that's because Justin Johnson broke his jaw and didn't play so they only had to stop the one brother. It's lot harder then you'd think. I've actually seen the safety inside 10 yards from the LOS and still not be able to contain these guys.
Question mark for Berkner will the defense. They have replace almost the whole defense. I think they only return two starters. Your best chance is to bury them early because their offense isn't conducive to scoring quick unless it's a big play.

Berkner played in a very, very weak district Carollton schools, Jesuit, & Richardson. Plus they had very easy first couple of playoff games to get things rolling. Not to take anything away from their great year. Their competition in district just went up about 1000%. :)

Berkner might be 2-35, but those 2 are the results of their last two meetings.

Not disputing that at all. Should be a fun year next year. We Berkner fans are really happy to be back in this district. Good luck to all next year.

Did Allen's OC Brian Polk leave for the head coaching position at Van Alstyne? Is this the beginning of the end for the Allen coaching staff?
