I can give you four reasons to why america is fat and using just my experince today at school and going to the rockets game (we beat the clippers:D )

#1 Cafeteria food and lunch- many people don't have the time to eat a good meal. WHen working many eat either nothing or a fat filled fast food meal. At Lake's cafeteria I have a choice between a fat buger, a grease pizza, or a low fat sandwhich that tastes like moist cardboard

#2fastfood- we are on the go constanly these days. I woulda made a sandwhich but I had to go to the bank, pick up my mom, drop off some mail, and do some school stuff in about 2 hours before i left for the game. I chose to eat before the game so i wouldn't buy anything there so i went to jack in the box. (in one day im at 2 burgers already by the way)

#3drinks- america is addicted to cola, sports, and energy drinks. In a given day I see about 9 red bulls. I drink gatorade and stuff becuase its cheaper for my mom to buy at the store than kool-aid and other stuff. We are also a nation addicted to cola. I got a collectors rocket cup with about 5 gallons of DP in it at tonights game.

#4cheap- we practically give away food in this country. My old usual order for mcdonlds before the supersize me video was 2 double cheeseburgers, with the dollar menu I got 4 fat filled meat patties for $2.10. Just because the rockets won today we get free big macs. McD's is the cheapest but the other fastfood places are not far behind in pridce either.

CL, enjoy those burgers while you can. When I was 18 and involved in athletics year-round I could shovel all the fast food I wanted down my throat and not gain an ounce.

Now I still work out, but its not for any sort of competition, I just have to motivate myself. It can get tough. Start trying to eat healthier NOW, so you will have good habits at college. Start eating bad in college and watch your pants size grow.

I LOVE In-N-Out Burgers out in California - they taste like burgers used to taste when I was a kid. Their fries aren't too chintzy either. That's all they have that you can order - 3 kinds of burgers and french fries/onion rings...that's it. And everyone there is dressed in the white aprons with the little white 50's style paper hats. Love that place. Carl's Jr has gone down in quality so I don't go there any more. As far as Sonic/McDonalds - I would go with Sonic but Whataburger is the best here.

Sonic's Route 44 Cherry Limeade is the single greatest product produced in the fast food world.

There's not a lot of fast food that I really like. I can tear up some Subway and I guess that could be considered "fast food". I love burgers at Whataburger and pretty much anything on the menus at Rosa's Cafe and Taco Cabana, but that's about it.

I have a 9 year old who doesn't drink cokes (any kind), doesn't eat ice cream or pizza, not much of a candy eater, and prefers protein over anything else. She orders water with anything she eats. And only drinks milk and water at home. She is such a weird kid. LOL ;) I think it is great!!!

Between Sonic and Mcdonalds i couldn't say. Depends on the mood. I try not to eat too much fast food. McDonalds has the better breakfast but Sonic probably wins on lunch and dinner. Donalds still has the better fries and Sonic has by the far the better drinks and deserts with more choices. You have to give it to McDonalds though. They are copied by all. They set the bar for everybody and everybody jumps on the bandwagon. I am not talking about the food. They have a brilliant strategy and that is why they have been the #1 fast food restaurant for forever. Think about it? McDonalds started the kids meal (everybody copied) they started using #'s, example #1 or #2 etc etc (everybody copied) They starting the playgrounds for kids (everybody copied) They started the super sizing ( everybody copied), They started the two windows (everybody copied) They have recently started implenting the double drive through and you watch ( everybody will copy) Most all of the other fast food chains are just wannabe's when you think about it.

I try to limit my fast food craving to once a week. That stuff will fatten you up and will clog the arteries. Taco Bueno is by far my favorite fast food mexican restaurant. Blows Taco Bell away in my view. I do not understand why it is not more popular. Taste like a quality mexican restaurant but it is fast food. I used to live in the one at Abilene when i went to college there. I wish Lufkin would get one.

My family was on vacation in Destin and my son just HAD to go (thank you, son). We had a nice looking waitress wait on us and my wife was obviously watching me. After we left the place I tried to be Mr. Didn't-Notice-The-Girls kind of guy and said that we had a nice waitress that was very attentive to our needs. My wife then asked me what her name was. She said the waitresses had name tags on their 'chests'. She said she noticed me staring at her name tag. I've never been back since.

By the way, my son is 8....just like his ol man...he loves the place. Now my nephew on the other hand who is 7....tried his best not to look and make eye contact with the girls and was really shy when ordering his food. I think he was in shock.

Yes, I think allot of them do. I don't. But you have to admit there are allot of places out there with better food that don't have that gimick. So why not choose those places unless you go to look at the girls. That is the way a lady looks at things. I have been in Hooters and had TERRIBLE service. That is when it becomes a problem. I don't care how hot you are if you can't do your job then you shouldn't have it. So that right there told me she wasn't hired for her skills. The guys at the table next to us thought her dingy attitude was cute as long as she bent over allot. I just thought she was stupid. I think most women just feel cheated and they feel like their sig others would not like it if the roles were reversed.

My family was on vacation in Destin and my son just HAD to go (thank you, son). We had a nice looking waitress wait on us and my wife was obviously watching me. After we left the place I tried to be Mr. Didn't-Notice-The-Girls kind of guy and said that we had a nice waitress that was very attentive to our needs. My wife then asked me what her name was. She said the waitresses had name tags on their 'chests'. She said she noticed me staring at her name tag. I've never been back since.

Yes, I think allot of them do. I don't. But you have to admit there are allot of places out there with better food that don't have that gimick. So why not choose those places unless you go to look at the girls. That is the way a lady looks at things. I have been in Hooters and had TERRIBLE service. That is when it becomes a problem. I don't care how hot you are if you can't do your job then you shouldn't have it. So that right there told me she wasn't hired for her skills. The guys at the table next to us thought her dingy attitude was cute as long as she bent over allot. I just thought she was stupid. OK, here's my political commentary for today. Every husband and wife should do things at home to keep each other out of strip clubs, Hooters, and other places like those. I know some people will stray anyway, but the bottom line for me is that spouses lose their excietment for each other and there is no spice in many marriages. It's a lot better to have a Hooters girl at home and all that kinky stuff can go a long ways to spicing up a dying marriage or one that needs a boost.

It's the same with Southwest Airlines, everyone i know hates them, including me, but they always win the consumer polls and are very successfull...?

I have news for you fartknockers that said I was letting Texas down by liking Carl's Jr. The 2 places I got food from yesterday were Dairy Queen in Junction and Whataburger in Big Spring.

On the way home from school today I stopped and got a Whataburger double cheeseburger with cheese and ketchup only. I later ate a McDs double quarter pounder with cheese and ketchup only. Whataburger was better....

i can easily come home and eat the meat dinners and stuff my mom makes, (i'll just eat more), i have my regular dinner plus my wendy's dinner..i can cut out wendy's easily, i didnt have any last week
