Congrats to all the fine schools. Although I did not research this, I was told by a Jesuit baseball coach that Dallas Jesuit, which is a single-sex school, came in third or fourth overall if only boys' sports were counted. I do know they were tops in their district with just boys' sports tabulated. Their "sister" school, Ursuline, competes in TAPPS, but they, too, do very well in all sports. The one common trait with all of the top schools is that they are mostly suburban, wealthy, and white areas. I don't know what that means, but SLC, HP, Coppell, and the rest at the top all share that same description.

Good to see Lee on that list. DFW doesn't like to give East Texas much credit, even though we are in a district with DFW teams. In all of their rankings through the season Lee and Longview should be at the top, but you rarely see them on any of the lists.

this list is based on actual achievements, not someones opinion as to future performance. lv and lee and any other school would have necessarily earned their way onto this list.

We still don't get the credit we deserve during the season. That's fine though I understand that the writers have to cater to their main customer base. Longview was on one list, I think defense, and we were at the bottome of that list. I don't rememer Lee being on any. You would think they would be at the top of the offense list. Oh well.

I can understand your frustration with the DFW Papers, but they include Tyler Lee because you are in a district with other DFW Schools. I know a lot of the other schools get annoyed at all the press the Dragons get but it's been that way for a while, they are a good story, and validate the attention by finishing at or near the top in the Statewide Lone Star Cup & locally in the DM News rankings.
