coppell is one of the worst i've ever experienced. and surprisingly enough when they remodeled 5 years ago they made the home side the worst side for ingress/egress. lately they are usually well egressed by the time the scoreboard goes 000.

Round Rock ISD is pretty bad...only one exit. And, it exits to probably one of the busiest roads in North Austin/Round Rock....Parmer Lane.
I remember Abilene Shotwell from the Waco/Midland Lee playoff game.......no paved parking...and it was dirt. We almost had to go 4X4'er just to get out along a fence to the road.
We had just washed and waxed the car and had to do it again the next day.
Waco ISD probably is the best i've been to ...and no i'm not being a homer.....they have 4 entrances into the stadium........and 4 going out. The traffic isn't that bad in the area that it was built because there is nothing over there yet. And, it's right next to I-35.
They just built a new outlet mall next door and some new apartments so I'm sure it will be worse soon. But, nothing like most.........
Not many know...but if your team is on the homeside.......the easiest way to get in is go past the stadium on New Road and right after the Pete Mejia Field (baseball) take a left into the stadium. No one from out-of-town really knows about this entrance. If the parking lot is full behind the homeside they will tell you. And, you can just park next to the old baseball field. You can see it on this map. It's not paved but it's not bad at all. You can sometimes walk through the gate of the baseball fields and over to the stadium gates. http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&hl=en&q=1401+s+New+Rd,+Waco,+TX+76711&ll=31.510334,-97.158773&spn=0.008507,0.021458&t=h
after going to the link you have to zoom in by using the tab on the left and move it up higher until you can see good. You can see the small entrance past the stadium.
Sv's parking sucks............unless your a top gun

Sams Stadium in Brownsville Tx...they have no parking for the stadium..its built in the middle of a nieghborhood and surrounded by small business..you have to park around the hoods or pay and park at some of the apartment complexes across the street...

I think they are all bad. The parking is usually fine, but it is the waiting to get out of the parking lot; and watching teenagers hanging out of the window, on top of the car/hood etc. I can't stand. Also, where are the cops in the lots. They are walking around the games, but I would like to see them in the lot when everyone is leaving.
the best 5A traffic control and parking stadiums in the RGV are Donnas, and La Joyas..you wont run out of parking or be in line long after the games in those stadiums..McAllen is also pretty good..

This is the easiest...especially high school games. There are so many exits I can't even count them.
The easy way leaving is to head back away from Valley Mills Drive until you hit 18th street. Take a right.......go to I-35 and then go south or north.
Same with coming in...going the backway. Take 17th/18th Street...go up that until you hit Speight and take a left and you'll run right into the stadium.
Most people try and just hit Valley Mills Drive and that is BAD. That is the busiest road in Waco and it will take you forever to get to I-35.

San Benito. There is virtually no parking to speak of, you gotta park on the side of a street in the middle of a residential neighborhood. It's especially bad after Harlingen plays there. San Benito usually gets beat on the field, but ALWAYS wins the "post-game car vandalism" contest.

They used to not even have a stadium when I lived there...they used Kyle Field as their home stadium.
They built Tigerland Stadium right next to the school in like 1990? They used to have a big sign saying "Welcome to the Jungle" but I didn't see it the last time I was there.
Since it was built they didn't lose a home game there for a long long time.....they even beat Odessa Permian there back when they were pretty good.
It's kind of a small stadium now for 5-A. But, the teams that play them are so far away that it doesn't fill up anyway.

The parking at Strake is inadequate at best. The stadium is too small for teams that have a big following as Katy does, BUT, the stadium is built well, not too old and large enough for 4A and a lot of 5A schools that are lacking of support. Plus, instead of raunchy cheese nachos they are catered by Chick-fill-a(SP?).

Abilene has made some recent improvements, but for some reason, only a small section of the visitor's parking lot was paved. Abilene is still the only sta. in the old LSWC that still can't afford to pay for the visitor's parking lot to be paved (Odessa, Midland, & San Angelo have all of their lots paved, including visitor parking). Poor old Abilene--it's not the most progressive town in Texas, esp. when it comes to the city or county spending a few dollars.

TexasBob.com says they didn't lose a game there for 6 years. Also says that it seats 6,000, which is bigger than I thought it was, but still small. I think that AMC comes to Katy the first year we play, but even if it's a bit of a drive the following year, there will be a lot of Katy fans there. I think half of the graduating class every year goes to either A&M or Blinn, so lots of local interest too.

Probably the best one school high school stadium in 13-5A is Temple Wildcat Stadium. The press box is lifted above the rest of the stadium. They had to do this after Temple beat Permian in 1992 in the final minutes of the game. So many Temple fans were jumping up and down after the late touchdown, that the stadium started to crack underneath.

Been to many stadiums, far and wide. Two stadiums can get gridlocked:
1. Round Rock ISD Stadium - After the state championship game, Trinity's side was gridlocked for over a hour. We had a chance to talk to friends, and one of the highlights of the day, I had my picture taken holding the State Championship trophy.
2. Coppell's Stadium - after getting gridlocked one time, we learned to park way back from the stadium so we could get out faster.

I know this is a hijack, but it's a funny story. The lead singer from the Tejano band Lumbre says there's a terrible breeze that comes into Temple's stadium and he was a kicker for one of the Killeen schools in high school. He said he lined up for a 40 yard FG one time and the wind was so bad that he kicked the ball straight at the corner pylon in the back of the end zone, but the ball curved straight through the uprights!:D

Temple's Mildcat Stadium I believe holds about 11,000 but visitor parking is pretty bad. All they have is a small paved parking lot that doubles for their baseball parking. Ater that you gotta find a side street or park at the HEB and hope you don't get towed off. Also bring something to clean your seats with, every bird in Temple leaves their droppings on the visitor side.

Personally i think all depends on who is playing who and where the game is at. I think we would all agree when the team your playing isn't very good then a lot of people stay home which means less cars in the parking lot. Where as when its a rival or a playoff game then everyone is there thus the parking lots are full to over flowing.

My brother-in-law and I figured out a way out of there in about 15 minutes. We parked in the farthest space that was still on the grounds by the main entrance to the parking (about a 10 min walk from the gates). It took us about 5 mins to get on I35. The year before we parked up close and sat in traffic for 2 1/2 hours.

It's funny to me, when I go to a Lufkin game, everybody is real orderly and nice when they are leaving. It's ironic they are so much more efficient driving than the morons I drive with everyday in the Houston area, and LP is 2.5 hours from the "Big Cities"

Here is a twist.... absolute BEST Parking / Worst traffic has to be Tom Kimbrough in Murphy. The parking lot is huge on both sides of the stadium and all concrete and very well lit, North and South exit roads are 4 lane. But it exits on to Murphy Road which is a miserable 2 lane road. The city/county/and TXDOT are about 2 years behind on widening Murphy Road.
Slim-Rob

Round Rock's parking lot was HUGE. But ALL the parking lots went out 1 or 2 exits, onto a busy road.
Judson Stadium has a decent amount of parking. There are 2 exits out of the Home parking lot, with multiple roads you can access from those 2 exits. You can leave the home side onto "Rocket Lane" which will take you to either Loop 1604 or FM 1516, depending on which way you go. You can also exit towards the high school and then goto either FM 1516 and go towards I-10, or go towards FM 78. You can leave the visitors side onto "Rocket Lane" and go towards Loop 1604 or towards FM 1516. There are always police around to "help" traffic move also.

I can't believe we've gotten 3 pages into this thread and my two least favorite stadiums for parking haven't been mentioned. Problem is that they are in the heart of the most wealthy neighborhood in the state. Yes, I'm talking about Highlander Stadium and Gerald Ford Stadium in Highland Park. No, this isn't because we are such arch old rivals. It's because it's just plain bad.
Highlander is landlocked by all the multi-million dollar homes. The only real parking is on the HP side. Once you get past about 1,000 fans on the visitor side, you have to park in the neighborhoods that surround the stadium and park in front of the houses. Needless to say, if you're like Garland and travel 6,000 to 8,000 to a game like that, you are in for a long, long walk....twice.
Similar for Ford Stadium at SMU. It's landlocked by similar neighborhoods and SMU. Once the small parking lots fill up, you must go to campus parking or the neighboorhoods. The parking is much more limited by the university there. Many of the parking lots are restricted to students only. It can be a nightmare getting in and out and the walk can be longer than at Highlander.
No offense to my HP friends, but whether by chance or design, you guys have sure got a sweet setup to discourage opposing teams fans from coming to your home games. I don't know how many times over the years I've heard fans say they weren't going to HP games just because of the parking problems.

Turner stadium is nice to all the home team fans...it has nothing to do with the fact we have three exits and you guys have only one.
And the fact that you have cops working the home side letting traffic out onto Wilson Road and the single exit for the visitors has no cops so basically if your on the visitor side you are not leaving until everyone on the home side is gone.
