YES, I hate the propane tanks; let's lv. that to 4-A. I was @ the '75 Permian vs. PNG champ. game; it was pretty loud. I think the atten. was a little over 50k @ Tx. Sta. PNG fans really do go a little crazy; I think they had 50+ chartered busses just for the adult fans. Both sides got there early & cheered & shouted @ ea. other for 2 hrs. preceeding the game--sure was fun, but the noise gets on one's nerves after a few hrs., but I was young back then & could yell for hrs. w/o losing my voice.

That would be my choice as well... It was just after the Garland vs Katy game, and I stayed around to see the game... Unbelievable noise from the PNG and Stephenville fans. It was the largest crowed for a HS game in history correct?

I was there, too. It gets my vote as well. The most people I ever saw in a game was when Houston Madison and Northshore hooked up in the Astrodome in 2001. With Madison's unis, I coulda swore it was an Oiler's game!

In 1995, San Benito beat archrival Harlingen High for the first time in 28 years. Although there were only 20,000 at that game, and half of them Harlignen fans, the sheer noise and insanity after that game that the San Benny fans created tops any college or pro sporting event I have ever attended.

this is true valley teams travel very well. when i played against san benito in 04 they brought so many fans to the dome that they were wraping around the endzone. on the first play the RB gained three yards and the crowd went wild lol. soon after the didnt have much to cheer about since they didnt make it past the 50 but one time at the very end of the game. but me and the other players always knew the fans were there.

The Tyler Lee vs. Spring Westfield game last year at the alamodome...like the whole tyler lee crowd has plastic gas tanks filled with rocks beans bolts hell what ever you could find...loudest game i have been at!

Heck PNG was there at the start of the Garland game
Most of the PNG fans showed up midway through the 3rd quarter of our game. It was very cool to see both Garland fans and PNG fans cheering on the Owls that day! :) One of my favorite memories since I started watching Garland games.

Besides when Andre caught our pass in 02 I would say this years Judson vs SPring Westfield game at Ferris.... I couldnt talk for a week after that game.

haha thats def. my pick also. 1 person had this huge ding dong whatever you call it, anyways, my big brother was beside him and he said it would hurt his ears. haha it was funny and also i saw many people had plastic gas tanks with rocks which got me really crazy. It had to be really loud.

i was ont he field waiting to play Clear Lake after that game. it was a cool game but it really wasnt that loud on the field.maybe more so in the stands..............

have seen both play in semi or finals, and they are the loudest. abilene high this year in baylor seemed awfully loud until the game started.

Abilene high in 04 was insane when they recoverd the onside kick. It was honestly deafening on the field.

'97 State Championship game Katy vs. Longview. Very loud. Everytime Lobo offense was set to run a play, the Katy band would start beating the bass drums as loud as they could.

That is one thing I really love about having more than one game per venue per day. I was at the '99 game too (given I was only 9) but we got there early and cheered for the purple team (that's all I remember) and it was tons of fun because they supported the Owls. I love Texas.

Yeah - that was the best. Being a NS fan it was too bad we were on the losing end of a classic like that.
There was a guy on the Madison team - he was the quarterback - I wonder what ever happen to him?.....(just kidding)

Largest Highschool crowd in Texas History has to be the loudest (Plano vs PNG state final 49,905), right? Wrong. I was at both games. I was in elementary school and I swear I still have hearing loss when Steve Hayes threw the 61 yard flea flicker touchdown to Perry Haynes in Plano's crazy comeback vs HP in the last 49 seconds at Texas Stadium in front of 35,675 is as loud of a moment of any game in the history of Texas Football. Everyone else is just fooling themselves.:)

Anywhere there is Lufkin- SLC involved, there is alot of noise, and fun games to watch, but I agree, The Lufkin-Longview games are NOISY!!!

I think the 04 Pack / Dragon game at the Floyd was pretty much a big game atmosphere...lots of electricity...

No doubt. However, you could've heard a pin drop on our side of the field when Potts threw the INT. That was definitely a very loud game for the most part.

Longview vs. Lufkin in 2004.
Before the John Tyler vs. Longview game in November was extremely loud and pumped up. JT's band was goin and the Cujo fans were yelling JT, and Big Bad John. It was a John Tyler crowd that I had not experienced in my lifetime. People said it resembled the way their crowds used to be. However, we silenced them quickly.
Longview vs. Lufkin 2002 in a packed Rose Stadium.
Longview vs. Killeen Ellison 1997. Crowds and bands were crazy.
I'm sure there are a couple more, but I can tell you that the loudest game period, that I've ever been to was Oklahoma vs. A&M in Kyle Field 2004, even though I'm sure 2002 was louder. A&M lost 42-35 but my ears were ringing until I went to sleep that night.

2002 Madison vs Smithson Valley at the Alamodome was loud the crowd was almost 30k the first play of the game was a 103 Kick Return for a TD for Madison by Tony Green it was up there in my books

i remember dragoncrew saying a while back that out of all the games hes been to, grapevine vs. slc 05 was one of the loudest due to all the off-field stuff before.
