By the way, if you go to TAKS Tutorials last December, your name will be turned in and 3 people gets $100 which I should have gone in that day. I guess I will regret. But also, I won some really cheap cd player which is going to extint soon oh well.

for us they let people keep working, then aroud noon when MOST people were done, they took the slow people into the librarey and allowed everyone else to proceed on with the day

i agree... its pretty rediculous... I think we have about 68 days of assessments per year... benchmark after benchmark ... I dont see how the kids make it this far.... they are so sick and tired of testing... and I would be as well... but.. just like anything else.. the state wants a certain passing rate.. but doesnt fund the monies that help get there..... and the biggest issue i have .. is that.. teachers feel the heat.. and the pressure as well.. so they teach the test .... instead of setting foundations... blah.. glad its over .. till april:eek:

yeah, but at least they give us incenitives this year to WANT to do good on taks, something to look forward to, plus parents are like 'you need commended' and what not, anything less than commended on the taks this year, is insane, that thing was easyyyyyyyyyy

God I hope I passed it because I do not want to get stuck taking that test again during my senior year. It was the 11th grade exit level Taks test that I took. And I don't want to get stuck in Taks placement classes during my senior year. I want to have an off block next year and I am hoping that I passed. And if I did, I get to exempt 4 exams instead of 3 and I also get to exempt my English exam at the end of the year. I just hope that I wrote enough. I wrote the front page in full and on the back, I only did 2 more sentences and I was done.

It's funny how a lot of people double the amount of lines they get on the short answer questions. This does not help your grade, in fact, it hurts it. It is short answer therefore you have to be able to make it short and consise. If you get to long you are rambling(sp?) and that does not go over well with the graders. im one of those people, who, read fast, and blaze through it..my mind gets in a rhytm and i just keep going, then if i stop, its hard to pick it back up, so i get done right away, due to the 'blazing mind' thing

You do... when you are done with your test you leave.... problem is, when you are in a class of 250... 100 people getting up and leaving at once is very distracting. I take mostly smaller classes this semester.

I am a junior Seguin. Who is your best friend that went there? I do support the cougars. I like going to the big rivalry game or the wurst bowl between NB and NB Canyon. I am also a Rocket fan no doubt. Rocket Pride has been in my blood since I started going to their games when I was 5 and I still am planning for another good year of rocket football. My favorite players on the football team are Darren Billiot( he is in my theatre class and can powerlift like crazy), he went to competition and ended up lifting over 1800 pounds in total weight.:eek: It was hard for me to believe but I know what he his capable of. My other favorite player is Chase Wilke. That kid ran for over 1600 yards last season and can flat out fly. On the Basketball team I know two players that are my friend and that are very good.
