At one time it would have made me sick to see Adams go....Not so much any more.

This will free up some money as well.

I would say this is mostly a money matter although both are on the backside of their careers.

I do figure he will have some action from several teams. I'd be very cautious though, cause pre-snap penalties are drive killers as you know.

Does this move make Romo nervous at all?

it will if they draft a WR instead of OLine.

Anyone want to entertain the Top 10 Flozell Penalties?

Tripping Justin Tuck has got to be near the top. Epic penalty.

With the chance to know your backside is protected better than before and you've decreased the likelyhood of pre-snap penalties...I dont see how it could make Romo the least bit nervous.

Man, please! Tony might be on the first plane to Vegas to celebrate this one.

I just hope I get an invite.

One of his dirtier moments........and it wasn't the only time he did it.

Damn Fav...Where do you begin?:D

That one with Tuck would have to be numero uno, but just below it are all the drives he's killed with the senseless pre-snap stuff. I can take holding calls in some cases, but to ask you to be still for a few seconds prior to the snap and you cant do it for more than a few plays at a time...that disgusts me. This is a guy that was given everything he needed to overcome his jitterbug syndrome he had, especially the last 4-5 years.

As much as you guys are glad to see him leave....boy I wouldnt mind him in a Niner uniform for 2 years while we draft a project RT like Veldheer or Capers in the 3rd to learn for a bit. Would free up one of our 1st round picks to play with.

I agree with you KF!;)

I am concerned with what replaces him. What is out there that is better than him?

A little risky, but 340 lb lineman turning 35 is risky too, especially at the price they are paying for Flozell. I won't miss the false starts. He has been solid and paid well for being a solid player.

He was good at one time for us but, it was just his time to go. Not to mention, the 'Boys have more money now.

Maybe they're going after Gaither from Baltimore?

I am going to take a 'wait and see' approach on this one. If they improve the position, then it is a great move. If they fool around and just try to plug 'n play, then it is a terrible decision. There may have been bigger holes on the O-line though.

I sense an impending offer from the Redskins..........it just makes sense.

Here is what I don't understand about this move.

Flozell is getting older. Flozell jumps offsides and holds some. No one got as aggravated as I did when this happened. Flozell got hurt now and then. Flozell occasionally let his defender get to Romo.

With all this being said, Flozell was STILL THE STARTER. He did get hurt in the Minnesota game right? That was pretty much the end of the day for Dallas. Not that it was much better before, but I think you get my drift. Dallas was bad that day before Flo went down. Once Flo went down, they look awful.

Left Tackle (with a rightie QB) is one of the most important positions on Offense.

The guy was the starter. Unless his injury in the Minnie game is career threatening or ending, he was the Starting left Tackle. If nothing else, shouldn't he be there as the backup to the new guy? Or, is this completely about the dollars?

Amen & Amen!

Hate it came to this for both of them, but it's time to move on :heli:

I personally don't like it. Like someone said, Jared Allen wasn't getting pressure until Flozell left the game. Ray Edwards was killing Colombo and he was the only guy on that line who hadn't been to the Pro Bowl. So you're going to cut the guy who protects Romo's backside? I still think Flozell has at least 2 years in the tank. I didn't think they would let him go. Hamlin wasn't horrible at safety. Now you have the option of starting unproven commodities such as Ball and Watkins. They could draft a safety, but Earl and Berry will be gone who are the two best and then you have Mays, but Sensabaugh is not Darren Woodson. The only thing that would make sense would be to go after Baltimore's tackle. I don't want to see a rookie or Colombo protecting Romo's backside. Free played well against Phili, but he wasn't as good against the Vikes. Just not too sure especially when it feels like the Boys are definitely top 3 team in the NFC. All four teams in the East will be very competitive now that McNabb joins the Skins. Eagles were dumb to make that trade.

Yep, I'm thinking that Dallas will need to get a pretty good backup QB if they don't fill this hole with something better.
