I thought you guys would like to see a picture of Darren Woodson and me with my girls. This was taken back in 2002 during the Cowboys training camp and he was getting ready to fly from Randolph AFB to Lackland AFB and sign autographs over there. I did good detective work and found him on Randolph!:D

The 'Boys did a celebrity basketball game in Midland one year and I was just beside myself with excitement about meeting guys I had grown up watching. Too tall, Tony Hill, Drew Pearson, etc... Anyway, my five year old woulda been happier if it had been Big Bird, but I had a BLAST!!!

Here's the bad thing. When my wife ran off, she took the pictures, the digital camera, the camcorder, and stole a computer that belonged to me that had all kinds of digital pictures on it and all this happened in Aug 2003. She gave me the computer and the camcorder back last year because she was having problems with both and she had transferred all of the pictures from that old computer onto a new laptop.

She finally gave me some pictures of me that were mine to start with, but I have a small portion of the total picture collection between us. Ever so often she would tell me that she wanted to send me digital pictures, but was too busy. This whole thing reached a head on Friday a week ago. She wanted to show me a slide show of pictures on her laptop that had me and the girls in them. When I saw the Darren Woodson picture titled "dad's work" I said I needed to get those pictures on my own. I just kept thinking how wrong it was for her to just horde up all the pictures and she was sitting on a picture that was very important to me and meant nothing to her.

I was going to try to email a bunch of pictures to myself, but it was going to be too slow. Finally, I went to Wal-Mart to get a thumb drive and Best Buy to get a CD-RW just to prevent not having pictures in the future. She must've had over 4K or 5K pictures on that computer and I bought a 1 Gig thumb drive to get all the pictures. I'll install that CD-RW for her when I go down there this week just to make sure I get the pictures in the future. I even bought the disks so she has no excuse for me not having pictures of the girls. I shouldn't have to pay like $180 out of my pocket just to get pictures, but that's the way it goes with Esther. I know somebody not named Lonny that would love to slap and strangle that woman!:D

I got to go to an athletic banquet as a little girl with my daddy. Bob Lilly was there. I saw him and pointed him out to my dad and all of the other coaches and players were laughing because I not only knew who he was, but I was more excited about seeing him than they were. He talked to me, and showed me his BIG RING. Then he signed a football for me and I still have that football in my living room. Good memories.

She is Korean. She says 100%, but I wonder. Because Joanna has negative blood, I think Esther has a non-Korean somewhere in her family tree since Koreans almost always have positive blood. Her dad said she isn't his daughter and I believe he's telling the truth, but she refuses to think her mom ever cheated on her dad, who cheated on her mom a lot.

I've been to a couple of those games. I went to Atlantic City to see current Cowboys play current 49ers back in the 90's. Irvin was there and Emmitt was supposed to be, but had to cancel because of a family death. I got Irvin's autograph in the Taj Mahal lobby.

I went to an old-timers game in Alaska and laugh when I think about Newhouse. That dude was 5 feet tall and 5 feet around, but he could get up and down. Harvey Martin and Michael Downs played that night and they had autograph tables set up for the various players.

They still have a sign in Throckmorton that says it's the home of Bob Lilly. That's pretty much all the town could claim until the 6-man title this year.

I've been to all the Buddy Holly stuff too. I like those big shades by the Buddy Holly Museum. There's a bar close to downtown named, "He's not here"!:D

Now that I know you met Bob Lilly in person the next time I see you I will kneel in your presence. I'm not worthy!

Lonny you have some cute little girls that are obviously not impressed with Mr. Woodson.

The only Cowboy I ever met was DeDe Lewis...it was in Winchester, VA and we were in a parade - he was the grand marshal or some such thing and I got to see his Super Bowl ring!! We were a bunch of 16-18 year old girls in cowgirl Rangerette type drill team outfits. Someone asked if we were the Dallas Cowboy Cheerleaders since they saw him with us - we were like NO WAY we are OILERS fans:rolleyes:  We suffered for being fans of the Columbia blue but, hey, I went to the greatest pep rally in history - the Luv Ya Blue/Kick the SOB Door in Pep Rally in the dome! I loved the Oilers:cool: SO much for personality than the Texans.

I met John Matuszak once - that man was a GIANT. I also met Earl and Pastorini. Earl was just too nice. Pastorini? That was about the time he and Dale Robertson were going at it ...he wasn't so nice at the time.

Time flies doesn't it? Mine just graduated and I feel like they were just singing "I'm a Little Teacup" two days ago.

I had dinner at Bob Lilly's house back in the late 70's. I was awestruck because he was one of my football hero's. He was a partner in a Coor's distributorship in Waco with George Andre. Met George also. It was something I will never forget. Not long after that I got to meet Roger Staubach......one of the greatest Cowboys ever in my mind. Those were the days....sigh

I never had to worry about that. One of 'em looks like me and acts like her mother. The other one looks closer to her mother, but acts like me.

You are right about Earl. I met him once. He's a real nice gentleman.

Also met Meadowlark Lemon at a church sponsored basketball game and helped him get his bags into the airport after the ride out. Lots of time to share. :D
