Missing my girls is the reason I had to leave the U.S. Army. I loved my time in the service but when it became a problem at home it was time to become a civilian again. No regrets though, God has really blessed since I've been out. I never could have made this much in the military. Now I get to go home most nights (I still have to travel) and see my wife, my two girls, and my son. Not a bad way to spend my life. I'm blessed beyond measure, it would be hard to find a happier man.:) :) :) :)

But that just came with a strong spirit. She will start smiling when she has things just like she wants them. Maybe he can. But let me tell you, I have a 20 year old and a 9 year old going on 19 it seems. Both girls are just like their mama. So we have a blonde, burnette, and redhead all in the same house. Trouble waiting to happen. That is why I know what your little princess is up to. Don't worry, it makes life fun. Just make sure that you don't leave any holes in your rules because they get smarter as they get older and they will find them and use them against you. For instance, I told my girls that they can not date anyone with hair longer than theirs. So they both grew their hair down to their butts. Blew that one right out the window. And that is just the beginning.

Hello KTfiend. Yes it has been a long time. I think it was the Westfield-Lamar game that I was an Adopted Tiger. Yeah, that is the Ying to my son being the Yang. I have the best of both worlds. I cant wait until the day I have to rush from the Football field to the Cheerleading competition, from the Basketball court to the Volleyball court, from Boxing to Ballet. One thing that I've noticed is that little girls can really humble a guy.

I do not have any girls but i have 4 little boys all under the age of 7. A 6 year old, identical twin 3 year olds, and a 11 month year old. If you told me 6 years ago that i would be able to wipe a butt with one hand and a nose with the other hand i would have told you to seek counseling. But i can do all of that and more. My real job starts when i get home. By 5 or 6 my wife is usually legally insane on a daily basis so i am forced to contribute. We both will probably be in a padded room with a cushioned football helmet on with a built in slobber bucket sooner then later.


And no i did not plan on having 4 kids so spare me the jokes like "didn't they teach you what happens in school"? Heard that one about 1 million times. The plan was 2. Next thing you know twins popped out and the last one was the shock of all time. I could not talk for months and considered suicide. I told her ob/gyn to triple knot her tubes and when he thought that was more then enough, tie them again!

I've always thought it was cool when you have a bunch of kids the same sex and usually feel bad for the 1 that's not alike.

I am very sorry if that offended you. This has been a teasing thing between some of us for a while.

But since you brought it up, let's look at this logically.

This is a sports board. Therefore you would expect it's sponsors to be sports related. And where you find sports you usually find a larger population of men. That would be why in many of the sports related publications you usually do find suggestive advertisements and such. I don't think "Prudes Weekly" would be looking to sponser a sports board anyway. If this were the most suggestive thread on this board I could see your concern but it is certainly not.

On the other hand, athletic type sponsors would not be attracted to any type of constant ridicule and tearing down of sports teams. As that would turn away potential posters and therefore would lesson the advertisers exposier. I don't think what I said will do that.

But again I am sorry if it has offended you.

When we all signed up, they showed the rules and what we can't do and they told us what they want us to do. Furthermore, they participate in the board discussion and that's a hint to what we can do.

When it comes to sex, they make comments and have posted and left threads open that talked about naughty cheerleaders, a man and a sheep, this thread, Brokeback Mountain, threads about **** and sexual assault, and that thread about the HS kid getting in trouble with his younger girlfriend. Sexual innuendo is not banned on this board. I don't think the KT's would allow suggestive pictures, but comments within boundaries are allowed. If they didn't try to curb the comments in Naughty Cheerleaders (It's a Classic!), they aren't going to curb this tamer subject. Besides, everybody likes a good story!;)

We are alike in so many ways it's not funny. That's another reason why I can handle you all so well. You dish it out, I can take it. This is NOT Wide. And no, I haven't made it a habit to always post on here- other than a few months ago. I usually read over Wide's shoulder. Plus with all the crap that's been said about my husband...if he had a chance to defend himself I believe he would take it. This board is the admins to control as they wish. We are their guests. I believe in a free posting society, but there are always limits.

As for the sexual content and comments, it is just part of who we are and what we do (some more than others). You can not say across the board that men are this way or women are that way. I am currently doing some contract work for a local public accounting firm that frequently hires graduating college seniors as interns. They have hired a 20 year old young lady that has the most awesome body I have ever seen (clothed). Yesterday, this young wore a tight (and I do mean tightttt) white knit dress that fell just above the knees and black leather boots that came to just below the knee. Well I can tell you all, she was a major distraction all day for MOST everybody. I can assure you the EVERY guy watched her walk by every time she was in the halls. I also noticed that MOST of the women watched her too. The thing is that while most of the guys would make comments about her to each other (and I’m sure a couple of the ladies were discussing her also), I knew I could discuss the situation with one of the ladies in the office. So I was in this second ladies office and the ‘20-something’ walk by and I mentioned ‘the dress’ and the second lady said to me “I told her earlier that I want her body”. I replied that most of the men where thinking the same thing. We laughed and got into a discussion about attire in the workplace. The point is you have to know your neighbor and neighborhood. I know which men and which women it would be inappropriate to have a discussion with about ‘the dress’.

I think Ms. Kitty knows her neighbors and neighborhood, and I enjoy reading her posts. Until we are told otherwise by the powers that be, her posts are appropriate and acceptable in this hood.

The latest Wide banishment is an entirely different story. We are not far into the off-season and the Aggy thing was already getting old. The same thing over and over and over; just different words. Wide would frequently say that he only posted the TRUTH or Aggy can’t handle the TRUTH. This kind of reminded me of the last presidential election. Dan Rather would be on CBS evening news every night talking about GW’s national guard duty (or lack thereof) and the PROOF that his staff had uncovered. Dan maintained night after night after night that he had discovered the TRUTH about GW. Fox News, on the other hand, did research into the source of the documents used by CBS and found them to be of dubious origin. Hardly something a reputable news organization would hang their hat on while trying to hang the President of the United States. So I think it comes down to intent. I know what CBS’ intent was (to hang GW out to dry), but what was Wide’s intent in constantly bashing Aggy? I could understand an ‘all in good fun’ argument, but unlike Dan, Wide had someone step in and say ENOUGH. The admins had heard enough of Wide’s TRUTH about Aggy and fair notice was given.

NOT beyond PG? I have no idea what stage you are in life but I'm at an age where I have children that like to watch things that are PG rated. So believe me...I know what to consider PG. What was said was NOT PG and neither were a lot of things Wide said- he knows it cuz he caught crap from me all the time! If it's not something I would want my daughter to read/watch then it's not PG. And for what it's worth...I would rather her read cuss words (just because she knows some people choose to use that language) than read things that are sexually suggestive.

As far as sex selling. It probably does...but I would be willing to bet that it turns off as many people that it turns on. Of course it depends on what type of people you're referring to. From the very beginning, off-topic has been given more leeway than any other forum and the others all have more leeway than the main forum. The big no-no always has and always will be to not bicker with fellow posters. THAT'S what the admins don't want. There is no double standard and I'll attest that I was somewhat shocked when the rules somewhat loosened over time, but the admins show us what they want and allow. Those rules were posted in April 2005 and the admins have loosened up a little since that time. A double standard is when one person can't say something, but somebody else can say something similar. Fighting has never been condoned, but the innuendo is allowed for all posters. The admins are on here a lot and they post a lot, too. They've never warned us that we were going over the line with the sexual comments or innuendo. I see one standard: Don't fight or insult, have good sports discussions, and have fun.

Talking about sex is fun, because that's something everybody likes whether it's straight, gay, or beastiality. I'm sure some people might prefer that this topic doesn't come up, but I doubt it's a very high population on this board if at all. Teenagers are all hormones, the twentysomethings are at a fun part of their lives, and the older people are mostly family people who still enjoy sex or talking about it because it makes them feel youthful again. I'll never forget an interview Phyllis George, of NFL Today, did with Roger Staubach back in the 70's. She compared him to Joe Namath and how they're different. He told Phyllis he was a family man and that he liked sex just as much as the next guy, but he only did it with one girl (his wife). Most of the innuendo has been said by older people who are married and people that go to church with conservative values are by and large the people who are saying it. Everytime sex comes up on this board, there are a lot of posts and views and nobody has ever come on there and said they didn't like the topic. I don't want the board in the gutter and that's why the admins won't ever allow some of the pictures that go around in cyberspace and I know they have standards on the sex talk, but I haven't seen anybody go over the line, yet. If that happens, the admins will jump in and reassess what we talk about.

First of all, What was all that? Some lame attempt to seem like a know-it-all. Lonny, I won't pretend to like you...sorry, but I don't. There has just always been something about you that I don't like. Which is fine...I'm pretty sure if you were being honest you would say the feelings were mutual towards me and my husband. With that being said...all you did was justify the conversation and of course you would...you were involved. Thanks for the advice kid and I appreciate you supporting my husband. Originally I did not intend on actually bringing my husband into it. And I almost forgot...KT made that statement because he didn't want to sit and listen to those that wanted Wide back. They did that before remember? i think that us teenagers will be just fine. with the world we live in now its impossable to hide stuff like this from us and if any parent tries to hide it from there teenage child then have fun with leading a very stressfull life.

I will have to say though, as some people think the rainbow is pretty, I think the colors of Texas High Schools, especially during football season, are beautiful. My point is/was that some things are tolderated while others are not...and that doesn't make sense. My husband was being sarcasticly nice and got banned. People can talk trash- literally trash- make sexually suggestive comments and that's ok? Blows my mind!
