Dallas Samuell
Dallas Skyline
Dallas Sunset
Dallas White

Any truth that Skyline may play St. Thomas Aquinas in pre-season?

I haven't heard that rumor. I'll have to check into it. I sure would be looking forward to that game.

Just like in the previous 2 years it will be LH and Skyline fighting for the top spot and everyone else fighting for 3 and 4. And by everyone else I mean Berkner, Richardson and Jesuit.
The remaining DISD schools will fill up 6-8.
Skyline and Berkner will go D1 and LH and Richardson/Jesuit will go D2.
I hate this district, I personally want more competition and this district bores me every year except for the 1 game against Skyline.

I wish there were more competitive teams in the district too. But, I wouldn't say I'm bored with the schedule. Unfortunately, in order to play really good playoff teams, 9-5A schools have to schedule them in the pre-district schedule (probably when the teams aren't clicking on all cylinders, yet).
I don't know if Lake Highlands will be "fighting" Skyline for the District, But I do agree the Wildcats will be somewhere between 2-3.:D Berkner is getting stronger year after year. I think the Rams lost some key players mid-season last year that caused the team to finish poorly.

Berkner is losing their entire defensive line and two starting LBs. Also losing a safety and a CB for sure.
Lake Highlands is bringing everyone back on offense except Zorn, who was great, but is returning their best offensive player in Roland and broke in a Qb last year in the 3 games Zorn missed at the end of the regular season.
They are only losing 3 starters on D.
Skyline is returning 4 starters...total. And no QB even took a snap last year. I know they will be good again, but to think they will walk through LH is well...thinking like you always do. LH has one district championship and Skyline has one. Yes, they will be "fighting" for their 2nd.
LH isn't scared of Skyline like the rest of the teams in this district are. They have the athletes to match up and know it.

No doubt. That would be a must see.
It may be Desoto that is playing them, I know they are playing a Florida team in non-district...I just dont know who.

Who mentioned anything about Lake Highlands being scared? Looks like you're trying to convince yourself. I'm not impressed. You attempted to build a case for a Lake Highlands victory over Skyline last year. We all know what happened, though. Just be happy that playing in this district will assure LH a playoff spot this year. I'll be looking forward to see the Wildcats' pre-district schedule.

I don't know this district that well, but Jesuit did fine against Berkner, Lake Highlands, and Richardson in 2004 & 2005 when they were all in the same district. And, Jesuit beat Samuell in 2004 in the playoffs. I'm guessing Skyline and Lake Highlands are the favorites, but I bet Jesuit competes for a playoff spot these next two years. Last year they played Allen, Plano East, Plano West, Coppell, Hebron, Wylie, Plano, and South Garland. A win Week 10 against Plano would have put them in the playoffs, but they lost 21-12. Don't overlook the Rangers. They lost 30+ seniors but bring back 20+ underclassmen. And, their Freshman A team went undefeated last year playing the same schools mentioned above. They should be good in 2010, better in 2011, and dangerous in 2012. I have been told they will play Coppell, Flower Mound, and Houston Strake Jesuit in non-district, which should prepare them for district. Good to all in this district.

Same rumors I've been hearing (I also heard Rockhurst was possibly in the cards but only for a 6 or 7 team district). Combination of students and non-coach teachers for sources, so I'm not positive.

Is RHS good now? Back when I was in school (god, must be the first time I've ever said that) they were awful, absolutely awful. They were almost as bad as RL Turner.
They weren't good at sub-varsity levels either.

I see Jesuit fighting for the 4th playoff spot in this district. Lucky for them they got out of the district with the Plano's. They really didn't have a chance of playoffs in that district.
Go Rangers!!!!! I'll be rooting for ya!
The only great team in this district is Skyline. I see them going undefeated in District and chocking in the playoffs just as in years past.
