Attention posters from the Rio Grande Valley!

First of all let me say that this is a message board with credible, respectful, mature adults. The key word being adults. Everyone comes in here with the understanding that just about anything and any team is fair game. That means both positive and negative comments. Critiquing if you will. So far posters from the RGV have not shown that they can take any kind of negative analysis. Even resulting in a ban for 1 Valley poster. I have done my research and visited the RGV message board rgvsports.com and from what I saw it is out of control. They bad mouth the teams, the teams players and everything else. Cheap shots.


The last thing I want to happen to this respectable forum for it to turn into something like that. So please to all the longtime members of this forum don't get suckered into a name calling fued with these posters. For it seems to me that they are just out to make trouble. They obviously have a big problem and chip on their shoulder with anyone from up north which makes me wonder why they are even here.


This is a moderators job, I know, but I just felt like something had to be said. I am no angel myself but at the same time you don't see me playing the race card as these Valley posters do. At the same time Valley posters don't let these people get under your skin. I for one feel good about Valley football. More wins in the playoffs will change everyones perception of the football in the RGV. Scheduling more pre district games with other Region 4 teams from outside the Valley will help for the obvious fact that those are the teams you will play come playoff time.

you see what your NOT POINTING out is what other posters say about our HOMES....how would you LIKE IT, if i were to come on here and say, "SOUTHLAKE CARROL IS A BUNCH OF SPOILED LITTLE RICH WHITE GIRLS ON STEROIDS".......ya'll wouldnt like it....BUT I WOULD NEVER SAY THAT.....alot of folks here go and say, the RGV is full of "little short MEXICANS that can only play FUTBALL" what the HELL IS THAT!!?!?!?!

its about respect bro, and we give it where we get it.....we LOVE our teams the SAME WAY ya'll love yours...IF NOT MORE....so when ya'll bash us because MOST TIMES we cant compete with big SA schools...YEAH its kinda RILES us.....

MrLucci you need to be more considerate and put yourself in our shoes....we dont have a StateChampionship Tradition, we dont GET STATE RANKED....we get laughed at and pissed on because we SOMETIMES cant compete....its NOT a "CHIP ON OUR SHOULDER" we play for LOVE of the game....and we WOULD BE HONORED to play teams like Katy, Judson, MidlandLee, Lufkin, SLC and SV....SO THATS WHY WERE'RE HEREand we AINT LEAVING.....maybe we cant compete...but we're gonna try like HELL....and maybe ONE MORE TIME we'll have ANOTHER team like the Edinburg one we had in 98' or the Mission team we had in 90' that is gonna get us OVER the SA hump...

Threads break down when posters don't know how to express themselves in a mature way. Either they don't have all the information they need or they are so blinded by their own convictions they aren't capable of seeing someone else's point of view. This is not unique to the Valley posters. The KT bros do a great job of keeping this site a site that I for one love to log on and enjoy.

I feel ya RGVBadBoy. But I think that you are always on the defensive because the Valley does not "...GET STATE RANKED,get laughed at and pissed on because we SOMETIMES cant compete....". And always being on the defensive rubs people the wrong way. Just cause someone rips on Valley football doesn't make them a racist. El Paso catches the same rap about their football. San Antonio does as well from Dallas ,Houston, etc. But the only way to shut those people up is to just win. And if you don't win then earn their respect by showing good sportsmanship. I think alot of it has to do with teams from the Valley not heading up north to challenge those teams pre-district. That is the only way you are going to get some attention and respect from the North. If in fact that is what you are looking for. Don't feel like you always have to prove yourself on here by talking tough and talking about the fights you have been in. Just come in here and shoot the sh*t just like everyone else. And a little innocent ball busting never killed anyone. And if anyone is taking cheap shots and making personal attacks towards the Valley then obviously they have never been there and are just ignorant.

Yeah the Sa area always catches crap from houston...till we smack them around then they shutup :D ...and then sometimes they smack us around and get all big headed then Dallas punches them in the face its a violent circle :)
