i dint know Colleyville's story, but i think that su**s.
so for you thats ok? this attitude permissiveness .... don't you think that in a future a lot of guys (from HS to NFL) could make an abuse of these products to end messing up completely this sport??
maybe i have a romantic point of view of the sport...i see business, but here there are a lot of important issues that play in this topic. From about moral question to wealth, walking through the education to give young athletes in & out of the field.
and maybe we will have even fewer deaths by heart enlarged;)
However maybe i have the wrong philosophy.

p.s. i love off-season since i can not see that stupid off-plays called by Off cord of the eagles

If I can speak for him, I will say that ktCarl is just gigging Southlake (see TOD thread) ;), but we have no steroid use. A kid was caught several years back at Colleyville, and there were consequences. I am sure Kt does not think it is ok. he was just trying to lighten things up.

Thanks for taking my back slcdragonfan, you ARE partially correct. No Eagles, you don't have the wrong philosophy. I really think that if it's illegal and banned by your sport you shouldn't use it. But he is an adult and has the responsibility of making his choice which I wouldn't stand in the way of. One item I don't like about steroids is pro athletes getting into the record books with the help of steroids. It taints the previous records made without the drug. Why not find out how good YOU are and not how good your drugs are? I am vehemently against High Schoolers using steroids. It's physically worse for them than it is an adult. We had a thread on this issue last year and it turned into a drug testing for all types of drugs for the entire student population. I would be for a steroid only testing procedure for all high school athletes.
I believe there are Southlake football players using it as are Katy kids and lots of high school football players on teams that routinely never win District or make the playoffs. Whether you believe it or not it is a big problem right now.

I don't believe that. They may take supplements (legal, not harmful), but not steroids. I don't think either program would tolerate it, and I think it would leak and the Coaches at either program would take appropriate action.

The numbers in the testing (see DocEdward for further data) do not support any claims of steroid use by student-athletes except in very limited cases. If there is an issue with the testing itself then we should address that.

It's like some of the players will get away with a few beers and not get caught.
