Dada LOVES the ladies.
Loverboy Lonny saw fit to wish ONE woman a Happy Valentine's Day already. That's what matters most. I do sincerely hope all the other ladies enjoy today, but my focus is on ONE person, not the whole board.

Happy Valentine's to all our lady posters. If all women loved football the way you ladies do more marriages would stay together.;)

LOL...My love for football is part of what pushed mine apart. But I got custody of the season tickets. A girl has to have her priorities straight you know.

I agree with that. It's just a matter of both sides embracing what the other person loves to do. It's a two-way street and us guys have to go to the opera, ballet, and go shopping, too.

Any man who does not share your passion for football did not deserve you anyway.

I never thought I'd like anything about ballet till I took my daughter to watch the NutCracker in Ft. Worth. It was actually kind of neat. (Yes I am aware that I just lost all street credibility)

You took your daughter....so you're cool. If this was a date or you went alone.....you would be banned.

It was her birthday and that's what she wanted instead of a party.

Well, we both love football - he just loves baseball a tad bit more. He calls himself the "football widower" at times because I am passionate about it.

Thanks Dada - I'm not a huge V Day fan - it's just a day the card companies thought up. BUT happy V Day to all you guys and gals anyway! I'm going to a softball game for my V Day:) Couldn't think of anything else I'd rather be at excpet a FOOTBALL game! Have a good one.

vday=overrated IMO..

why do you need a special day to prove how much you love someone?

Exactly. Why should we have one day to love someone? Does that mean I don't have to love anybody the other 364 days of the year?

I knew were Lonny Jr. My feelings are this and I was thinking about this today. It's a shame that many people use Valentine's Day as the day to show they love a person when they should actually celebrate every day like it's Valentine's Day. Special things should be done for your loved one throughout the year. You shouldn't need a special day to do something.

What you forget is I already have a built-in excuse to go to all kinds of sports events, because you love the stuff, too. You can't tell me you don't like this or that because I know differently, especially since you played or did most of the stuff I'll go to! I'll just take you to the stuff I want to go to and I highly doubt you'll complain. Ballet and opera aren't every night, but sports are!:p

Screw Valentine's Day, it's ********

Dada - 1
AZTiger - negative 100000000000000000

Now if I could just get my girlfriend to agree with me. She's in Dallas upset because Vday sucks because I'm here, and I'm indifferent...oh well.

It's a nice gesture to be with her if possible, but she should understand if you have something that keeping you in Arizona. Any day can be a special day, but it doesn't send a good sign if you choose to not spend Valentine's Day with her.

With you in Arizona and her in Texas, I think it suffices that you were able to spend a few days together before Valentine's Day. My perspective is a little different than many people's. I've had to spend so many special days away from family members that I now view any day together as a special day.

The best part of my Valentine's Day was when I got to my daughter's softball game a little late (and frazzled because I was late) and she was warming up to start the next inning and, from the mound, she looked at me and mouthed the words "I Love You". THAT's what VDay should be about - not cards and candy and other things the stores want you to buy.

Then right after that, this kid comes up to my husband who is his teacher at the school we were playing and says "Which one is your daughter" and he tells him she's the pitcher and he goes "Man, hook me up - I'll even pass your Physics class"...then he offered him a Pringle and waited for my daughter to finish to talk to her....gotta love teenagers:p

Why do you think I started talking to you?:D

Past scenario:

Lonny: "Do you want to go to the game (pick any from NBA, Judson, Cowboys, etc.)?"

Wife: "No."

I go to the game anyway and wifey is mad because she's at home by herself with a baby. I started taking the oldest to games to get one kid out of the house, but I'd never see a game if I had to wait for her to go with me.

Finding a wannabe football player, who did play basketball, volleyball, drag raced, stock car raced, and barrel raced is like striking the mother lode for me! You already asked me about 2 sports you don't know anything about and that's soccer and hockey.

I bet you already like figure skating, or in the men's competition, skating figures!:p You already like both Olympics.

That means the only things left for me are rugby, Australian Rules Football, and lacrosse. The sport I care the least about is cricket, but I know a little about it. I occasionally watch tennis and golf and you've probably had a passing interest in both.

Besides, I can't help but like somebody who has a story like you told me earlier!:D Guys, don't ask me because I won't tell you. It should make Miss Kitty Woman of the Year on this board every year.

Oh yeah, she wants to turn her garage into a game room.

I loved the story when you downed the beer in one swig on your wedding day because your ex said you guys needed to drink at least one before you go to the wedding!:D

I thank God for you everyday. You like everything that guys all over wish the women in their life liked.

Yes, I agree. V-day should not be about buying candy, teddy bears, or giant heart-shaped balloons that block the television screen when you're trying to watch an in-class movie. It should be more about being with loved ones, not buying into a candy shop monopoly.
