While Vince Young had an incredible season...I think we have not given enough recognition to this guy's effort.
He is a helluva (oops) heckuva athlete and deserves to be acknowledged just as much as anybody else.
His 3 carries for 10 yards in the Red River Shootout is misleading.
You cannot measure the heart that this guy showed...and the honor he
brought to the Sooners and the Sooner faithful.
He fell just short in the Heisman voting...finishing only 784 1st place votes behind Reggie Bush (boy what a great back that guy is).
Can't expect him to do much better than that...considering he was trailing the best RB in the history of the planet.
An injury sidelined him in that barn-burner of a game against Baylor...
No doubt he could have contributed and prevented the 2OT's from ever happening. But who knows...Baylor is an up and coming powerhouse...it would have been tough.
The injury bug caught up with him again in the Holiday Bowl. He jumped for joy after an OU touchdown that he wasn't a part of.......and guess what?
He split his head right open...Bless his little heart.
But did this keep him down? Nope...he still averaged 3 yards per carry against that insane Oregon D...now that's heart ladies and gentlemen.
So c'mon guys......put your hands together...for a guy that was overlooked most of last year.
I am guilty of it...
I got caught up in all the VY hype...I almost forgot about our good friend to the north.
YEEEEAH AD...All Day baby...!!!
You may play for a rival school.......but that doesn't mean I have to insult you...or make fun of you...or hurt your feelings.
