Norv called a terrible game, and he also decided to kick an onside kick with 2:15 left in the game. with a T.O. in his pocket, and the 2 minute warning still to go DOWN 3. Had they kicked it deep, they get the ball back with 1:05 to go in the game(Jets wouldn't go for it on 4th and 1 at their own 34). He also didn't take his T.O prior to the 2 minute warning. Which would've cost his team 5 seconds had they gotten the ball back.

I don't think you enhance your chances of getting the ball back by kicking it deep. The Jets still only would have needed the 1 first down to run the clock out. The Jets wouldn't have thrown the ball. That is not what their team does. They would have run the ball 3 times, and played defense.

what happens if the field goal kicker makes his kicks? Your point is moot. Give the Jets credit, their defense is one of the best in the league but the Chargers played well enough to beat them.

The play calling for the Chargers was terrible. They should have been throwing the ball a lot more. The Chargers are a passing team, and instead they went to L.T.
