Wow! How many students does TCU have? Not sure the school I graduated from had that many either (OCU). Even split it is 2 large 5A schools.

I think TCU may be slightly bigger but I know thats bigger than Wake Forest with only 4K students.

And bigger than Rice with only around 2,800 undergrads. That's why Rice sucks at football and that silly hoyty toyty high academic standard thing they have going on.
But their baseball team ROCKS hard every year!!!!!!! I love it when little 'ol Rice beats up on Big'ol Texas and OU and everyone else.

i guess in the overall scheme of things, those h-t high academic standards and the intelligent, well-trained students they produce pale in comparison to winning a few more football games. that made last year's football success even more sweet.
fact is, if rice's opponents could only play with players that could get into rice, it would be 13-0 for rice almost every year.

i think the latest redrawing of attendence lines, something that is foreign to another noted district, pesh will lose some of their numbers to pwest. they will still be #1 in moral state titles however, win or lose.

Plus you have the additional perk of tt bar excursions if Rice recruits you.
Not really. Rice is one of several schools named whose recruits hire strippers from this company. Along with UH. Each school had no knowledge of it.
http://www.usatoday.com/sports/college/football/2004-02-10-colorado-strippers_x.htm
13-0 Unless of course they went ahead and scheduled the smart catholics. Stanford, Notre Dame and Vanderbilt. Then that would be 0-3 against probably smarter kids.

I get your point but of the schools you listed, only ND is affiliated with the Catholic church. But Boston College is. ;)

why would you assume that?
rice would have destroyed the domers had they the guts to come to the texas bowl when offered. they saw fit to skip the owls and found much more gracious and weak hosts in the warriors. they gave vandy a game last year. this year, not so much. turns out when you graduate 3 of the all-time best (from rice anyway), the cupboard gets bare in a hurry.

They'll have to beat Trinbity to do it and I doubt that will happen any time soon. Besides not having as good a team, Plano now has a psychological disadvantage playing Trinity. Until they can beat them with some margin, they start in the whole even before they start, that's assuming they even get close.
I love Plnao football . . . lived there for 21 years and witnessed the thrill of back to back in the mid 80's first hand. Beating Trinity at least over the next two years will be a huge accomplishment that many if any won't do.

Frisco has six high schools; four 4As and two 3As. Most of Friscos growth and almost all of the high schools were built in the last 15 years or so. By design MANY more kids get a chance to be involved in varsity activities. Plus other benifits. I think they have stated that they will never have a 5A high school. Class act!

Sheesh. You Trinity people really need to get a life. I'm not that interesting. You clowns do not have to follow me around every freaking thread because I questioned one (count it) one playcall.
Also, stop ripping off traditions and palming it off as your own. Better still. Stop making yourselves out to be charity cases and in the same sentence complain about how your swimming pool needs cleaning.

Some of those would be forfeits since some of them might not be able to get a team on the field.

Your are so right on grayowl. Frisco is a class act getting more kids involved by building so many schools to keep them small. What are those yahoo's in garland doing depriving their poor kids of more activities. They could easily double their 7 5A HS's to 14 4A schools then everyone from all demographics can particpate in so many activities like AutoShop, Home buliding and of course all those AP classes. Not to mention two 4A districts in Garland would allow 8 football teams to bow out by the second round.
This deal with enrollement that I have noticed you bring up is very funny. Keep up the contradictions with all your statements.

Burn baby burn, disco inferno...
Because of these huge enrollment numbers the UIL will eventually do something. What are you both willing to wager they do it this cycle??

My graduating class of '91 at Rice only had 497 which was not even twice as big as my HS graduating class at WOS. There have been less than 35,000 people to graduate from Rice in the 98 years it's been in existence and the stadium holds 70,000+. Back when we were in the SWC that stadium would still fill up though.

Were you gathering HS Football data back then? Just curious which spreadsheet program you used when you first started. Lotus was around in the 80's I believe. The earliest version of Windows came out 1990 maybe?

Facts dont seem to be important to your kind
A. Garland isd has 7 high schools, average around 2400, small 5As. is the goal, been that way for many years
B. Have you checked Garlands athletics in the last 20 years or so. Compare?;) 0-10 seasons?
C. How many students on the average does Plano have that are active in varsity activities. Frisco? Garland? McKinney? Mesquite (3 small 5As and 2 4As) Hello. anybody home?
Over 30% of Garland hs students are in advanced academics classes, Auto shop? How about classical music composition?
Do you homework before you spout off. high roller
Oh and what is Garland isd.s buget for transsportation, busing? Do you know why it is so high? Do you think that has anything to do with other activities? Im sure you can think of something wise a** to say:Censor:
Question is still, with 500 to 600 boys out for football. what seems to be the problem with Plano?
Funny? Actually sad.

we always said that tu graduates more every year than rice has living alumni. maybe slightly exaggerated, but not much. the stadium was and is a great place to watch games. no bad seats, unlike other similar stadia(cotton bowl for one). when built, rice was having lots of success and houston was beginning to really boom. one continued for many years.

I think the only logical solution is for Plano East to field two varsity football teams. That way, if they divide the student populations up carefully, they can make a run at both the Div. I and Div. II championships in the same year at the same time.
