Some of my Texas buddies were nice enough to bring me along with them to the BCS title game this year, unfortunately their terms were that I had to be decked out in burnt orange.
Anyone else have their tickets for the game?

You should bring a pen and some paper to take notes on how to play in a BCS bowl;)

I just saw two actual, live tickets - not mine unfortunately - the price was, well, it was quite a lot.

how in the world can you bring yourself to be a longhorn fan, even for just a day? that's like a yankees fan being a red sox fan for a day. or a michigan fan being a buckeye for a day. it's not supposed to happen.

debating on to go or not, i'd go alone if i did go. And while its fun even alone, i'd rather be there with friends.

Sadly we will be on a retreat on the 7th but someone's recording it so when we get back we'll see another Rose Bowl win for the Horns

I thought Ohio St. and Oregon was in the Rose Bowl.
In the end you need to go. If Texas loses you can laugh at your friends. If they win, your friends are happy and you have been able to attend a National Title game at possibly the coolest stadium in the nation. Being able to attend National Title games is not that frequesnt of an occurence and each opportunity should be grasped, especailly at your age.

Are they forcing you to actually cheer for the Horns? That would be a deal breaker if I were in your position. I would wear ou red and go to the game but there's no way I would cheer for oklahoma.

Hell no, I would still go even if they did. It's a National Championship Game, like pied said its a special thing.

One of my buddies played for ou back in the day. He took me and a Red Raider buddy to the Syracuse game a long time ago. I didn't wear red, and didn't cheer against them(out loud), but it was hard not to get caught up in the excitement of the game.
Passing it up, given the stipulations your friends gave you, would be a very bad error in my opinion.
