After a great run in 2009 the Trinity Trojans will be losing a lot next year. There are whispers of a mass move out of some key players. The coaching staff has promised to work on building team speed, strength and conditioning next year.
I almost forgot...(thanks CHHSpantherfan) they like to chase shiny objects.:D

both 5a champs, and aledo are gonna have the largest targets ever on their backs!! As trojan fans, we need to enjoy this one, because I predict cloudy with a chance of tough games next year.

all i ever said was that if ya'll were going to move B Carter, then you needed to move him north of MidCities Blvd. :D
as far as shiny objects, Congrats again. But I am really glad that you started a 2010 thread ;)

on a serious note, when you have great success and big participation numbers, then you are going to start losing some players to the privates. this is more from the 2s that would be 1s elsewhere, making the decision that they want on the field than anything else. Has been happening at SLC for years, see this year's Covenant QB Brett Maxie, as well as a lot of others over the years. If there were ever to be a mass movement, it would be heavily scrutinized. See Mike Barber's suspension at Grace Prep several years ago.
I cannot imagine not wanting to be in the prgram, but some kids value the PT more. No indictment, just fact. Hope this doesn't happen to ya'll.

The Trinity OL should be pretty frightening next year. I could not believe some of the holes they opened up in that second half. Tusan and the rest of the backs also made some very nice moves to get into the spaces. Very impressive.

My preseason 2010 picks
1a. Abilene - Sorry everybody, the Sims are comming back
1b. Stony Point - Wade, Barrera, Sharp, Kelly, Akinbode, Lindley, Spikes, Andrews, the entire OL... maybe these guys are my number 1.
3. The Woodlands, Lasco is special and this will be his senior season
4. Katy (cmon it's Katy)
5. Carroll (cmon it's Carroll)
6. Skyline (the talent just reloads at DISD's football magnet school for the arts)
7. Plano - The Mystique gave the Haka the scare of it's life in Rd 2. Their outstanding QB (Child of Trojan parents) and almost entire team is coming back
8. FB Hightower -
9. Katy Cinco Ranch
10. Cedar Hill - Driphus Jackson returns for his Sr year
11. Trinity - sure they return some, but the key nucleas of senior leadership and game breaking talent: Cocker, Pauni, Coker, Moeakiola, Olie, Agemaple, Erick Smith, Maile, Freeman, Hubbard, Sam Smith - IS NOW GRADUATED Please everyone, let's not set the team up for failure

Yep, we've experienced that already. Lost three good ones -- each of whom is going to play D1 next year.

Thanks, and I don't think Allen needs any more big kids. Your o line is already NFL sized. ;)

Believe You/Me, It has been happening! Christian Oaks took two of our potentially great players a couple of years ago. Actually they took 3! Ross Apo, Teu Kautai, Fabulage (can't remember the first name.) They actively recruited these kids. Made them promises such as by going to their school, it would given them a better chance for a scholarship. I had no idea it was happening to you guys too!
I forgot to add, that they have been coming after some of our Junior High kids too!

Who is Christian Oaks? I think you met Arlington Oakridge. What's crazy about those 3 players is that they had no PT issues at Trinity. I believe if any players were to transfer it won't to Oakridge again.
