One of the better State games I have ever watched. Exciting and well played by both teams. Congrats to Trinity:cool:

Congrats to Trinity. You'd probably have to go all the way back to the Judson-Midland state game to see a team get outcoached in the 4th quarter as badly as Westlake did. Steve Lineweaver is one coaching dude.

I'm fairly new to the Trinity Trojan commmunity and football team directly since my sophomore grandson just started there. As an aspiring linebacker, I hope the coaches turn him into all he can be and allows me to become a totally immersed Trojan "parent".

Since I moved to Euless 3 years ago, I have adopted the Trojans as my team even without a youngster there. I spent 21 years in Plano and saw some of their best teams, thrilling play off games (state champs back to back)with my children.

I love youth sports and am pleased to be in a city and associated with a school that not only shows fine young athletes and a coaching staff that is one of the best in the U.S. but a school that is very special too. :notworthy

NOTHING is better than Texas HS football.

CONGRATS TO the 2009 Trojans, the coaches, the kids and the parents. I'm right there with all of you 150% and will be for a long time.

Can't wait until next year but I will manage somehow. :D

what a great effort by both teams. westlake was almost more than et could handle. great game plan and execution of same. i really didn't think et could make up that much deficit that quickly. outstanding game and a deserved champion that showed the rest of the state that might be doubting the trojans exactly what lineweaver and staff have created. get ready for the front end loader to take all those sandbags away today. next year's #1 or #1a in every preseason ranking. haka.

Great game between two championship caliber teams. Brandon Carter and Bobby Brown are complete STUDS. The Carter game winner happened right in front of me.

I couldn't comprehend some of those holes Trinity opened up in the second half. The words "Mack" and "Truck" come to mind.

Congratulations to my beloved Trinity Trojans, Coach Lineweaver, and all the terrific coaches.

I wasn't at the game but I was there in spirit and watched it on TV. If vibes can be transmitted through the TV to the game, me and my group did it for sure.

Now we have to wait until August to get our fix of Trinity Trojan Football.

The Abilene fans were great last night. After teh Trinity game they were beyond congratulatory towards Trinity and constantly high fiving and cheering them as they left the Dome. The interaction our group had with the fans outside of the stadium was great and we had a good tim with your band as they were getting off the buses heading into the Alamodome.
Was happy to see your community get a title after the 53 year wait. Great fans, great program and great city you all have there in Taylor Co:notworthy

Congrats, TRINITY! What a game! You know I love ya' Baby!

Westlake fans, your team impressed me. I have to say, you performed way beyond what I had expected. :o Excellent coaching (the 2point call was right on the money), excellent QB play, reminded me of some other QB we saw this year (cough **Matt Brown** cough) with his legs and arm and poise.
Congrats on your season, you were ohhhh so close this year!

At the risk of sounding hokey....in the movie "Contact" the heroine, at seeing the wonders of space travel says " they should have sent a poet!" So that she could adequately describe her amazement at the sights she was witnessing.

TrojanMom28 and I were trying to quantify how much satisfaction a "football team" has bestowed on us and how lucky we were to fall into a home that sent our kids to Trinity. What a wonderful and simple twist of fate. Of course there is nothing like winning and winning big, but would it be just as rewarding to come together with people previously unknown to us and support our kids giving their all to make us proud. Much like the 3rd grade play with our child playing "Indian #3". I think so.

As we drove home from the game, we found ourselves laughing and cringing as though we were watching the game with 40 seconds in regulation and trying to invoke our WILL on the outcome. Not for all the tea in China, nor the loss to SLC in 06, Allen in 08, CHill and Allen in 09 because in even our losses, we receive these memories from kids playing their hearts out and men trying to offer them the wisdom of life thru a game.

Thank you Trinity Football and Staff for allowing us to aid in your support. The memories you spin from your selfless hard work and dedication, will be the times of our lives that we can reflect on in the best, or the worst of times. It is assured they will bring back the moments we ALL shared and like another sappy movie line quoted......"the memories will wash over them so thick they will have to swat them away like flies. "

I REALLY dont have the words......Thanks Trinity :notworthy

My favorite media story all year was this one http://www.the33tv.com/videobeta/watch/?watch=7798c25a-d8a7-4ee9-afed-9d4990620561 . Just brings home what was on display all day yesterday, we as fans are completely fortunate and blessed to have the players, coaches, inspiritation, entertainment, and the highly unique program identity of the Trinity football program. The championships are bonus to these rewards, though a great one I might add :notworthy .

I really like what Lineweaver said in the post game interview. When he said he just tagged along with the players who had just won the championship and how they redefined the "can do" attitude. Congrats, and hope we play again soon.

We are all so lucky to have our children and grandchildren at Trinity. I'm sure we are not the only awesome football program that cares as much about the spirtual side or life, life in general and other people . . . but I know we are one!!

Mine too...now! It was the one about Willie baking cookies for the HAWGS before seeing this...

We are sooooooo blessed to have a program that encourages this opportunity and to have FBCE willing to provide it and the food...

Thanks for posting I hadn't seen it...

Thank you so much...Westlake was the real deal for sure. That QB is insanely quick and has some moves. #34 was a beast too. The defense was amazing as well. Thanks for a dance that goes down in the history books.

so SWEET, cant get over it yet!!!

to all my Euless people, should they put Trinitys name and championship years on the city water tower by hwy 10?? I know they got the name on the one by Ash and Main. I think they should since its a more visible one, so people who dont really know exactly what Euless's boundaries are, start getting familiar. Go Trojans!!!:)

T's Up Baby them boys from Euless did there thing again. All the hard work the coaches, players, parents and community put in paid off. Enjoy this and get back to work soon because there is no way that Trinity has any chance of success next year........LOL and start working on that passing game TOO because the run is out dated and cant win in this day and age.........LOL

And big props to Austin Westlake they came out and supported there team (in mostly Benz and Range Rovers) to the fullest and played there butts off, ive never given an opposing team a round of appaluse like that at the end of the game. Thats what you call leaving it out of the field. RESPECT

Couldn't have said any of that better myself. Linweaver has planted hismelf as one of the best of all time, he was already up there in my book but this season just confirms that to the rest of the state if there were any doubters left. ET is a premier program that has earned everything they have won, just like Katy and Carroll before them. The next few years are going to see some very good teams come off of Industrial as well, going to be fuin to watch them.

We ALL KNOW those Bedford boys are invaluable to the success of the program. That's another reason that I hate it when they're called ET. (I prefer THS, myself.)

Besides, that other school that has some Bedford kids might object to the Bedford water towers having something about the THS football team on them. They'd start wanting them painted with band stuff.

And don't forget, you'd have to put up something about the girls lacrosse team's championships, etc., just to be politically correct. :)
