Do any of you watch this? It's on ESPN Classics early in the morning. It brings back SO many memories of my childhood. I used to watch it with my dad every week - hardly ever missed it. This was our first ESPN when there was no ESPN - it's all we had. The highlights are so cool and in slow motion and they played on real grass. Remember when they all played on real grass and some played on fields used for baseball too? So, they are running on dirt and grass and their uniforms were just covered with dirt and grime. That's my kind of football!!! Smash mouth, hard nosed, and dirty uniforms. Only thing missing is the snow!

This morning they showed the mascot for the Bengals on the sidelines - a REAL live Tiger! You wouldn't see that in this new politically correct, wipe everyone's nose, don't say anything world:)

I could not agree more about the wussy PC world we live in now. Truely nauseating!

Yep and those guys played their hearts out and got paid SO much less. You never saw them in commercials (unless we are talking about Namath and the "take it off - take it ALL off" shaving commercial) or pulling in endorsements or having bling bling hanging off their necks or millions of dollars being thrown their way. They didn't stop in the endzone to take cell phone calls. I watched replays of 4 touchdowns on this mornings show and they just ran into the endzone and then over to the sidelines - no hot dogging at all. They didn't make the money these "babies" make today - Just pure athletes. I think that's why I'm just tired of the NFL and I still love college and high school FB - it's still pretty pure in the lower ranks (in some cases anyway).
