When and how are both of these items to be done or has this taken place already?

I believe film is exchanged at the game between the team playing and the scouts for the next game. That's the way it was when I was in school.

It is either done at the game with scouts or the schools will send guys to meet halfway to pick up and exchange tape. You can also bet that the schools are on the phones with other opponents doing everything they can to get ahold of more game tape. I can promise you that Katy will try to get tape from all of Abilenes opponents and vice-versa. Some schools will do this while others wont.

Here's a guess: I beat Trinity doesn't agree to another game with a crew from San Antonio after the crap that the crew in the STP game threw out there!

Al Sharpton alert.

There was a fire at the Abilene field house late last night. All game film for the past one-hundred zillion years was destroyed.

Now back to your regulary scheduled programing.

Who might they agree on?

It will not be Austin or Dallas. Westlake has used Houston each week so if Trinity agrees, Houston would be a good guess. If they cannot agree and it goes to UIL, there is no telling who they will give it to. After the incident in Trinity's last game last year Houston might not be agreed to although Houston did do the 2d round game. Does not matter which chapter they agree to, at this point in the season, any chapter will have so few guys on the field you are going to get a good crew, even if it is San Antonio's

These guys get pretty good money for ref'ing the championship game...Also looks good on thier resume for promotion to the next level...I think they would be O.K. with Trinity at this point Its been over a year..
Anyone know what they get to ref. the championship game?

The fee is the "same" as it is for all varsity games. The fee is based on a gate percentage. If there are 20,000 fans at 15 a head, that is a gate of 300, 000 The scale would result in a game fee check of about 1,200 per official. But I do not know one official who would not work the game for free (and pay his way to the game)

If the teams are using the same vdo system they could just email the vdos to each other. If they do not have the same system, then they would do what was mentioned earlier. Another way is to exchange at the stadium on portable hard drives. Yes they most likely started preparing the day after the game after grading the last game and watching it with the team.

What occurrred during the game with regard to officiating? For the record, it is my feeling that officiating in general has taken a big step backward this season.

LOL...if you were at the state 7 on 7 tourney in CS...there is no way I wld ever trust another Austin crew...ever. Im sure a lot of those same guys officiate during the season as well. If anyone had witnessed Langham Crk handling Lk travis ( we just had more athletes than them on both sides..period) only to have the crew give LT do-overs until they managed to win...incredible. So lets make sure to group the Austin and SA crews together. :D but, in general this season there have been a whole lot of questionable officiating.

Just to let you know, I'm pretty sure that you may have not gotten the top officials for the 7 on 7 since the state meeting was happening that same weekend.
