This is truly bizarre. Janet, wife of Wayne, Gretzky, apparently has a gambling 'thang. In this illegal gambling fiasco in which it looks like this Phoenix coach Tokette dude ran an illegal gambling ring out of Jersey - Janet bet $500,000 large ones in 39 days over the playoffs. She bet $5,000 on the Super Bowl coin toss! (which she won).

What am I missing here?

Most pro athletes gamble...not a big surprise that some of the wives do to...

5 large on the coin toss?
Well....considering you have a 50/50 shot at it...not a bad bet at all.

A sign that maybe the "Great One" needs to spend more time at home a give wifey the attention she's screaming out for.

newer evidence( federal wiretaps) say he did know.
I think the MRS. is just a front for his gambling.

Tocchet is one of 99's best friends. you think your own wife is dropping 1/2 a mil in bets to your best friend without knowing something?

nothing wrong with gambling. LIING is another issue...

All I can say is who doesn't bet? Now, I would never bet 5 grand if I had a 50% chance of losing, but hey, rich people can do as they please.

i think gambeling is bad for players if it affects how they perform in games, but besides that its not that big of a deal to me,unless a guy becomes addicted, then its very bad.anyone know why there isnt as much known gambling problems in football as other sports, everyones heard of shoeless joe jackson and pete rose, but as far as football what?adam sandler in the longest yard?
