When they split the schools up...the intention was have CP as the arts school...with the exception of a few players...the majority of the talent remained at TWHS. Time will ultimately tell.

When the district split into two schools (about 5 years late). TWH was smart enough to move their best underclassmen players up to varsity in 04' so that they varsity waiver would apply and the best players could stay at TWH. Please tell me why a school with 5,000 students needed 10 sophomores on varsity. Ultimately in 5 years college park will have the better players because the way the lines were drawn. It's simple numbers and economics.

Explain how Cy Fair ISD has the brains to see that quantity doesn't mean quality. Cy Woods hasn't opened yet, but according to the article, they are in the process of building 2 new schools. And yet only with 2 stadiums. If they can survive with one stadium, the other under construction, so can other schools

Didn't this year, McCullough win all the games agaisnt Knox? I expect College Park to be The Woodlands biatch for years to come.

7 Lakes opened with freshman and sophomores only, so next year they play varsity in 4A with juniors. Morton Ranch is the Katy ISD school that will begin varsity next year. They took some talent from both Mayde Creek and Katy, but it will be awhile before they can think about being district champs.

Actually Duke, The 8th Grade A Team didn't destroy everyone and did have a tie. Secondly, two teams lost to Knox.
Is the tide already changing?

correct again McC, as usual....the 8th grade mccullough team had a VERY stout defense, but they did tie peet jhs 8-8 (a game peet shouldve won, 2 turnovers in redzone) now just think about this, all of mccullough jhs goes to "teh" woodlands now instead of mccullough AND knox jhs, and conroe hs gets all of peet jhs plus washington jhs...hmmm....not going to be so easy to win now with less than 5,000 kids at your school.....an equal playing field, what a concept!!!!!

Atascocita is grabbing a chunk of players from Humble. A round full of j.v. lineman and one of our future star running backs that will effect is in two years. The results won't show this upcoming year, but this next year we may see a different and less competitive humble team.

wow, that is VERY surprising...they usually try to keep the players already there at the old school (aka. college park) that is good though and should mean atacosita will be able to compete within the first few seasons.....one of he cy schools made playoffs their second varsity season i think...thats really impressive

Yeah, I guess they expect to see Atascocita start brining in some major players as the Humble area expands because they added alot of weak teams to our district and cut out the strong schools. This maybe an easier year than normal for Humble but I can't wait to see how atascocita performs. They have a decent chance at playoffs.
