Question for Wide

Now that my temper has cooled a bit, rather than continue to go in circles with Wide and anyone else regarding STDs, Tech, Lubbock Co., skanks, or any combination thereof, I would appreciate Wide's (and any other hardcore Horn follower's) input on the following entirely football related theme:

How is Colt McCoy coming along down at UT? I went to church with him and his family in Abilene, and although I never really knew him or saw him play in HS, I still would like to see him do well, and kinda keep up with how he does.

I know that VY had some good things to say about his progress after the Rose Bowl, but what can anyone really close to the program say about it. Obviously, he is not going to step in and be VY next year, but how are the coaches projecting him. Do they see him as a legit future star (or at least starter for several years), or are they looking at him mostly as a timekeeper until Jevan Snead is ready to step in? Plus, what is UT looking at doing to adapt to having a quarterback who can't save you with his feet like VY?

I'm not "close to the program" but I watched Colt a lot in high school and I expect him to be the starter and I don't expect him to lose that job. He is a more talented version of Major Applewhite and I don't consider that a stretch at all. Vince raved about him and the coaches and other players raved about him. Billy Pittman was quoted as saying Colt throws the best ball he has ever caught.

I'm kinda torn because two Big Country kids will be fighting for the starting job and only one can win. Colt and Jevan are both very talented and so much fun to watch. I'm kinda in Colt's corner just because I saw him so much in high school, but it will be awesome to see either kid starting at QB for Texas.

im pulling for colt as well man....when periloux lef i was like who cares we got McCoy but the media said texas was doomed. Besides....who has a better football name Colt or Snead ?

Perriloux switching was the stupidest thing he could've done. He probably would've been starting this coming year. Instead, he's behind two very talented QBs at LSU and baring injuries, probably won't play for another year. Good riddance to him.
