I'm taking any and all suggestions. The only country music I own right now is two Vince Gill albums: Pocket Full of Gold and When Love Finds You. Other than that I have a Vince Gill Christmas album. I grew up listening to these albums around the house so he's all I know, but I really like him. Plus, he trashed Kanye West at the Grammys in 2008, so he's on my list of famous people to give a high five to.

Let's try and stay away from just posting YouTube links. I'm not really looking to buy single songs right now, so put album suggestions too if you're gonna post a video. I want to start a full-on country collection and I want full albums. So if you love a particular Willie Nelson song and really want to post the YouTube link, give me an album of his you love too, even if the song isn't on it.

I'm sure you guys will do fine. :D

Go!

Sweet. I'll start working through this. Out of all these guys you listed, can you give your top three or five albums? Not each band's top albums, just the albums you think are the best of all of them. That might give me somewhere more solid to start.

Also, the only music I really listen to now is classic rock, so anything older is good too.

Country sucks.

Classic rock and metal is where its at.

Actually, pretty much everything but country is okay.

Thank God. I work at Academy and I can't stand the country they play there. Craig Morgan and Toby Keith make me wanna scream.

Anything by George Strait. For older stuff George Jones, Charlie Rich, Charlie Pride, Patsy Cline.

Work in some Eric Church! Also some Whiskey Myers which is not straight country, but good Texas music.

George Strait: Has tons of stuff, Johhny Cash: is dead, but a greatest hits ablum would be good, Robert Earl Keen: The Road Goes on Forever, Correy Morrow, other than that Alan Jackson is OK.

I am going to chime in here. You must buy a Dwight Yoakam album. D-wight is the coolest freaking country singer on the planet. Listen to his stuff and realize how awesome country could have been had he become more popular than Garth Brooks.

For early stuff, go with Guitars, Cadillacs, etc. and Hillbilly Deluxe. This Time is another good one. Don't know if you are into compilations, but The Very Best of Dwight Yoakam is well worth a purchase.

I am a huge Texas country fan, but I also like some of the older mainstream stuff. I second George Jones.
